Two of the best regular-season teams the Calgary Flames and the Carolina Hurricanes come into tonight’s games with a 1-0 series lead.

We are expecting a reaction from both the New York Rangers and Edmonton Oilers in tonight’s games so let’s check out what our favorite NHL player props picks are.

New York Rangers vs. Carolina Hurricanes

Friday, May 20, 2022 – 08:00 PM EDT at PNC Arena

Frank Vatrano | New York Rangers

The Carolina Hurricanes came away with a 2-1 win in overtime last time out, the Rangers were already the series underdogs now they must fight to level up the series.

The first pick of this game is going to be the Rangers' centre Frank Vatrano to pick up at least one point in tonight’s matchup at some nice chunky betting odds at +130 with the sportsbooks.

Vatrano scored 4 points in his previous five games against the Hurricanes and has picked up two goals and three assists in eight games so far in this year’s playoffs.

The ex-Florida Panthers player has had an enjoyable start to life in the big apple with a total of 17 points picked up in his first 30 games, a solid return for the 28th-year-old.

Let’s see pick can Vatrano come good at plus money tonight.

Chris Kreider | New York Rangers

The Rangers' top goalscorer this season was shut down in the first matchup and only managed a single shot on goal the entire game.

We are more than happy to jump on Kreider’s total shots over 2.5 at NHL odds of -130.

Kreider has seen three or more shots in 5 of his 8 playoff games thus far and has always bounced back from an under 2.5 shots game with an over in the next.

Across the board, Kreider has averaged 2.4 shots per game in this season’s playoffs.

The 2009 first-round pick has to step up tonight and the responsibility to score is in his hands, he has combined for 34 more goals than the 2nd highest scorer on the Rangers roster this season.

Edmonton Oilers vs. Calgary Flames

Friday, May 20, 2022 – 10:30PM EDT at Scotiabank Saddledome

Evander Kane | Edmonton Oilers

Kane has been the Oilers' top goalscorer in the playoffs thus far this season with a total of 7 goals scored, he is also the tied highest-scoring goalscorer remaining in the playoffs.

Unbelievably the Oilers knocked 6 goals past the Flames last time out and still lost the game by three goals.

With the Oilers having scored 6 times we would have expected to see Kane’s number on the scoreboard or assists board but he didn’t manage a single point in the game, nor a single shot.

Kane didn’t have any joy the first time he faced the Flames either with just 2 shots on net and no points in a 9-5 defeat towards the end of the regular season.

With that being said Kane has only gone 3 or more games without a point on one occasion all season long, this period did come in his first match against the Flames.

Kane has now gone 2 games without a point, we are backing the 30-year-old to find the back of the net tonight at really nice odds of +200, this is a high number considering his proven goalscoring ability thus far in the playoffs.

Let’s hope Kane can break his duck against the Flames.

Leon Draisaitl | Edmonton Oilers

This is a pure value play and it helps that we are getting the playoffs 2nd highest points scorer and the regular season's 4th highest points scorer on our side.

Draisaitl is a points machine be it goals or assists as he has now racked up a total of 354 goals and 362 assists for 616 points in just 558 regular-season career games.

Playoffs Draisaitl’s record isn’t too shabby either as he has seen 39 points in 29 games played for 17 goals and 22 assists.

In four games this season against the Flames he has already picked up 11 points in total, which is an average of almost three per game.

This seems to be a good matchup for the Germans despite the Flames having had just a 2.22 goals-against record in the regular season, the Oilers have averaged 4.2 goals against them in their previous 5 games.

NHL Pick: Draisaitl Over 1.5 Points (+175) with BetOnline
