It’s do or die tonight for the Edmonton Oilers who find themselves down 3-0 in the series, it was always going to be an uphill battle to beat the preseason Stanley Cup favorites over a best of 7 game series but we are surprised the Oilers have yet to win a game, Could tonight be their night?

Check out what plus money props we are riding for tonight’s game, let’s call this the +120 special as all our bets are coming in at these odds.

Colorado Avalanche vs. Edmonton Oilers

Monday, June 06, 2022 – 08:00 PM EDT at Rogers Place

Conor McDavid (Edmonton Oilers)

Connor McDavid (McJesus as Oilers fans call him) will have to step up in a big way tonight if they wish to take at least one game off the Avalanche in this series. Although the Oilers' main man has been the post-season top points scorer with a total of 30 (two more than teammate Leon Draisaitl), he has been kept quiet over the previous two games with just one point to his name.

In game one “McJesues” scored three points in the 8-6 defeat but didn’t manage any points in game two as the Avalanche won in a shutout victory 4-0. Last time out when the Avalanche won 4-2 McDavid bagged just one point.

We are hoping and expecting the best player in the NHL to step up his shot count in this do-or-die game, McDavid has managed just 4/2/2 shots in this series to date. McDavid has been kept quiet in general against Colorado this season haven taken just 7 shots in 3 regular-season games. McDavid has managed just over 6 shots per game this postseason.

Both Teams Goals Total

After game one had 14 goals many sports betters and hockey fans expected a high-scoring series, with game two even being set at 7.0 on the total goal line. Unfortunately, it hasn’t worked out like that, the Avalanche seem to have decided going toe to toe with the Oilers' high octane offense maybe wasn’t the best idea and have kept them to just two goals over the next two games.

They allowed the Oilers to 29 and 24 shots over the previous two games and allowed 37 Oilers shots in game one. The Oilers have allowed the Avalanche to a whopping average of 43.3 shots per game in this series and we simply can’t see them slowing that rate down tonight. The Avalanche should have no issues scoring 3+ goals tonight.

Edmonton simply need to score three tonight if they wish to keep up with the Avalanche, game two and three were scoring disappointments, let’s see can the Oilers step up here.

Gabriel Landeskog (Colorado Avalanche)

We could have taken a bunch of Avalanche players to get on the scoreboard tonight, as we said we think they score at least three goals in game four and we even thought of one cheeky bet which was their post season top scorer Nathan MacKinnon (10 goals in 13 games) to score 2+ goals at +750 with the top-rated sportsbooks.

He has only done so twice this post-season, in the opening round against the Predators where he scored twice and he also bagged a hat trick against the St Louis Blues in a 5-4 overtime defeat.

It’s a bet to consider but our main play here is going to be their second top post-season scorer Gabriel Landeskog to bag himself his 8th post-season goal.

The Swedish born forward has scored in 6 in 13 post season games and we quite like his odds to score anytime in this game at +120. Landeskog has been averaging 3 shots per game this post season.

Although he only managed 30 goals in the regular season, we must factor in he did only play in 51 games and played 24 games less than regular season top scorer Mikko Rantanen, scoring just six goals less than Rantanen.

NHL Pick: Landeskog Anytime Goalscorer (+120) at BetOnline
