Hey Matt, You’re a fan of the NFC East… how about you write about the two teams that have been giving you an ulcer ever since you could put together a rational thought? That was in my BMR Holiday card this morning.

Washington Football Team vs. Dallas Cowboys

Sunday, December 26, 2021 – 08:20 PM EST at AT&T Stadium

The Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Football Team… two teams that are living, breathing trainwrecks that have not smelled a Super Bowl since Clinton’s first term, yet feature two of the biggest and most arrogant fanbases in football. And I say that knowing and loving Cowboys and Football Team fans.

But heading into the holiday weekend, the Cowboys who are in a three-way tie with Tampa and Arizona, currently sit with the two seed in the NFC behind The Green Bay Packers. This is gonna be an ugly game.

Why?

Well, the Football Team plays twice this week. Once on Tuesday night in Philadelphia and then five days later on Sunday night when they have to travel to Dallas to play ‘Dem Boys.

Last time we saw the Football Team play it was a 20-27 loss to Dallas in Washington, when we had “Benchgate,” now with Washington having to play twice in the same week and 4-5 in their last ten… I have no idea what the hell is gonna happen on the field.

Having to travel from DC to Philly, back to DC, and then to Dallas like their George Clooney in “Up In The Air” is not an optimal scenario for an underperforming team who are facing a team ranked sixth in both passing and rushing and second in the league in points scored, you better have a bible, some dude with a collar and be brushed up on your advanced Latin to walk out of the Jerruhdome with the W.

Sure, Washington could view this as a team-building moment and a chance for them to build character… This also could be a team in the midst of the massive scandal, cultural change, and a young quarterback thrown in the middle of a rebuild and are about to walk out of a week 1-1 cause the Eagles aren’t fairing much better.

For Dallas, it’s about scoring points, being stingy on defense, and staying healthy. This deep into the season they cannot try anything over the top to keep themselves from their first Super Bowl in almost 25 years, with Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott being injury-prone, the focus needs to be on getting the win and not showing off in front of a national audience.

The wrong move can cause them a near implosion, which would be the most Dallas thing to do.

Our friends at BetOnline have the line set at 47 and the under at -110. I would take that instead of the over because of what I said and also cause Dallas only scored 21 on the Giants last week and last scored over 27 points when they played the Raiders in their closest game since week two.
