With the playoffs underway, here are two potential upsets to look for on Super Wild Card Weekend for your NFL picks.

New England Patriots vs. Buffalo Bills

Saturday, January 15, 2022 – 08:15 PM EST at Highmark Stadium

The New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills will play a game for the third time this season. This is basically a best-of-three series with the winner moving on to the next round in the NFL Playoffs.

The Patriots stunned the Bills on the road back on December 6, winning 14-10. But on December 26, Buffalo defeated New England, 33-21.

That win helped Buffalo win the AFC East division but now they’ll still have to play New England, at home.

On Saturday night, it’s supposed to be extremely cold in Buffalo. This game could have a lot of similarities to the first game between these two teams when New England only ran the ball and rarely passed it on their way to a victory on the road.

Currently, Buffalo looks like the better team. Make no mistake about it. But you never really want to go up against the Patriots in the postseason.

The Bills have won four straight games but defeated Carolina, Atlanta, and the Jets in three of those four games. Of course, the other win came against New England, but there’s really nothing that stands out for the Bills in those other wins.

We’ll likely see a lot of running and a lot of what we saw in the first game of the season. So with that, I’d take my chance at the NFL odds on the Patriots to pull off an upset against the Bills.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Dallas Cowboys

Sunday, January 16, 2022 - 04:30 PM EST at AT&T Stadium

I’m personally not sold on the Cowboys just yet. The Cowboys ran through a weak NFC East and have had some inconsistent play this season.

Dallas won four of their last five games but those four games came against Washington, the Giants, and the Eagles.

Yes, the Eagles are in the playoffs. But no, the Eagles won’t last long in the playoffs.

Meanwhile, with their backs up against the wall, and an injury to their starting quarterback, the 49ers found a way to win four of their remaining five games to clinch a playoff berth.

The 49ers have played well defensively to get the job done. In the last four weeks of the season, the 49ers only allowed a team to get over 20 points once and that was the Rams in Week 18.

Of course, the Rams had a commanding lead at halftime but the 49ers put the clamps down and got the job done late to make the postseason.

The 49ers don’t have the offensive firepower that the Cowboys have but they’ve had guys stepping up all year from the beginning. Elijah Mitchell, Deebo Samuel along with Jauan Jennings, George Kittle, and Brandon Aiyuk. They’ve got pieces that could help get deep in the postseason offensively. Take them at the top-rated sportsbooks.
