The Minnesota Vikings are coming off a shocking loss to the Lions while the Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off an emotional win against the Ravens. Can the Steelers use that momentum to knock off the Vikings on Thursday Night? Let’s see the NFL odds.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Cleveland Browns

Sunday, December 12, 2021 – 1:00 PM EST at FirstEnergy Stadium

I know the Ravens haven’t played well recently. But that 8-4 record still has me applauding. With how poorly the Ravens have played, they’re 8-4 and in clear contention for a playoff spot. And in reality, the Ravens can only go up from here. The Ravens already beat the Browns 16-10 a couple of weeks ago.

That game was at home. This week, it’ll be on the road. But nothing the Browns have done recently gives me any belief that Cleveland will have much success late into the season. The Browns are coming off a bye week after that loss to Baltimore. They’ve been trading wins and losses and have only scored 13 or fewer points in four of those last five games.

So you want me to sit here and believe the Browns are going to win, at home, against the Ravens? I don’t see it. The Ravens have been much more consistent this year, despite how the offense has looked this year. They’ve battled through injuries and have had other guys step up in positions they normally aren’t comfortable in. Like I already said, the Ravens are only going to get better from here on out.

The Browns have no passing game, and while the Patriots proved that you can win without passing the ball, for the Browns’ sake, it’ll be much more difficult. Why? Because they actually trust quarterback Baker Mayfield to make plays down the field. Mayfield has just 11 touchdowns and six interceptions on the year and we’re in Week 14.

The Ravens haven’t been great against the run this year but have a terrific pass rush that can force Mayfield into mistakes like he’s done all year. Take this into consideration next you see our NFL picks.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Minnesota Vikings

Thursday, December 9, 2021 – 8:20 PM EST at U.S. Bank Stadium

The Steelers are coming off an emotional victory while the Vikings are coming off an emotional loss. The Minnesota Vikings have struggled against the Lions twice this season and finally, it cost them late, as the Vikings lost to the Lions, giving Detroit their first win of the season.

Meanwhile, the Pittsburgh Steelers found a way against the Baltimore Ravens last week and kept all critics quiet, at least for another week. The Vikings have so much more talent than the Steelers have, except for the fact that the Vikings are just not playing like it. Minnesota is 5-7 on the year with Kirk Cousins under center.

Cousins has thrown 25 touchdowns and just three interceptions on the entire season and the Vikings are literally 5-7. Both defenses are allowing a lot of yards rushing but the Vikings are giving up more points and more yards in total per game this season. For my best bets, I’ll ride with the momentum and take the Steelers to find a way against the Vikings, on the road. It’s hard to recover so quickly from a deflating loss like the one Minnesota just had against the Lions.
