Last week, upsets were coming left and right. Will the same thing happen in Week 10? Let’s see the NFL odds.
Seattle Seahawks vs. Green Bay Packers
Sunday, November 14, 2021 – 4:25 PM EST at Lambeau Field
The Green Bay Packers had to play without Aaron Rodgers last week after he tested positive for COVID. It’s currently unclear whether Rodgers will play in this game or not against the Seahawks. But what we do know is that the Packers need Rodgers. However, let’s just say that the public isn’t necessarily happy with Rodgers’ comments last week on the Pat McAfee Show.
Meanwhile, Russell Wilson will be ready to go for the Seahawks and will give this Seattle team a big boost, as they’re just 3-5 on the year. In the first game of the season, after Rodgers didn’t play in any preseason games, he struggled as the Saints dominated them on the defensive end.
Time away from the game might result in a rusty Rodgers, even if he does play in this game. Seattle has been solid against the run, holding teams to 127.6 yards per game. The conference that they play in just likes to run the ball a whole lot more. Offensively, the Seahawks have rallied behind Wilson when he was healthy and that shouldn't stop. They’ve had a poor offensive line this season but the playmakers around Wilson will help him score some points.
The Packers, with Love at quarterback, aren’t going to stand a chance. He looked uncomfortable and missed too many throws against the Chiefs last week for any of us to consider him moving forward as a reliable quarterback. It’s early and he’s young, but Love certainly isn’t Rodgers so take this into consideration for your best bets.
Denver Broncos vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Sunday, November 14, 2021 – 4:25 PM EST Empower Field at Mile High
The Denver Broncos added their first signature win of the season, knocking off the Dallas Cowboys, on the road. The Broncos are now 5-4 on the season and have kind of been surprising this year. However, the Broncos already traded away Von Miller and looked to be conceding this season, despite winning last week.
The Broncos have been solid on the offensive end, except for the fact that the offensive line hasn’t been holding up. Teddy Bridgewater and Denver have added 20.8 points per game while earning 366.1 yards per game. The Broncos should be able to run the football well but the offensive line won’t protect Bridgewater against this Eagles pass rush.
On the other hand, the Broncos have scored just 187 points all year compared to the Eagles scoring 227 points per game. Philadelphia is scoring more than allowing this season and that shouldn’t change in this one. The Broncos have nothing going for them defensively and have been about average in every category this season.
The biggest thing is that Denver has missed so many tackles. The Eagles, who have run the ball so well lately, should be able to force their way through the Denver defense for big chunks of yards. Give me the Eagles for my NFL picks, as an underdog in this one.
