Arizona Cardinals vs. Minnesota Vikings

Sunday, October 30, 2022 – 01:00 PM EDT at U.S. Bank Stadium

Teams Analysis

Arizona Cardinals

After dropping a 19-9 decision to the Seahawks, the Cardinals' defense came to the fore last Thursday with 2 pick-sixes in the first half in what resulted in a 42-24 shootout victory over the Saints. Arizona is now 3-4 straight-up and 4-3 against the spread entering this Sunday afternoon matchup with the Vikings.

Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings should be well-rested and ready to roll after copping their 4th consecutive win 2 weeks ago and getting last week off due to their bye week. Despite Minnesota’s recent winning streak, their 24-16 victory over the Dolphins in Miami was the only one of the 4 in which they covered the number.

Pick and Prediction

Although these Monday morning lines for Week 8 are still fresh, it doesn’t take long for the best sportsbooks to move these numbers when action pours in on Sunday night. In this case, we see that Minnesota opened as 6.5 point favorites but the sharps took a big bite on the underdog Cardinals to where this line has dipped to as low as 3.5 at Heritage Sports (visit our Heritage Sports Review).

In the last six meetings between these teams, Minnesota is 4-0-2 ATS including last year’s 34-33 Cardinals' win in the desert as 4-point road underdogs. The Vikings are well-rested and should be able to cover the number here, particularly at a number that could start to drift up once the betting public opens their eyes.

Predicted Score: Vikings 26 – Cardinals 18

New York Giants vs. Seattle Seahawks

Sunday, October 30, 2022 - 04:25 PM EDT at Lumen Field

Teams Analysis

New York Giants

Big Blue keeps rolling along, but most of the betting public still refuses to believe their lyin’ eyes. After seven weeks, the Giants are 6-1 straight up and against the spread after their 23-17 win over the Jaguars last week as 3-point road dogs. Had it not been for a seismic stop at the one-yard line in the final play of the game, the Giants would have lost by the slimmest of margins.

Seattle Seahawks

It was supposed to be a rebuilding year for the Seahawks after Russell Wilson left town but, lo and behold, they are at the top of the NFC West, ahead of the Rams, 49ers, and Cardinals. Seattle has won and covered 3 of their last 4 including their most recent effort, a 37-23 destruction of the Chargers in LA as 5.5-point road dogs.

Pick and Prediction

Here’s an interesting stat. The Giants became the first team in NFL history to open the season 6-1 or better and have each of its first 7 games decided by one possession. The Giants also experienced injuries to its offensive line which might account for Seattle opening as -1-point favorites to where it now stands at Seattle -3 as of this Monday morning writing. Getting a field goal head starts is too enticing not to pull the trigger.

Predicted Score: Seahawks 23 – Giants 21

NFL Pick: Giants +3 (-115) at Bovada (visit our Bovada Review)

Washington Commanders vs. Indianapolis Colts

Sunday, October 30, 2022 - 04:25 PM EDT at Lucas Oil Stadium

Teams Analysis

Washington Commanders

The 23-21 downing of the Packers last Sunday was the most impressive of Washington’s 3 victories this season. The Commanders rallied from a 17-14 halftime deficit and backup quarterback, Taylor Heinicke, threw for 201 yards with a pair of touchdown strikes and one interception while the ground game chewed up 166 yards en route to the 2-point victory. Washington is now 3-4 straight-up and against the spread as they prepare to invade Indianapolis.

Indianapolis Colts

After winning 3 of their previous 4 games, the Colts dropped a pivotal 19-10 decision to their conference rivals from Tennessee as 2.5-point road dogs. These AFC South rivals will not see each other again in the regular season and the Titans have now swept the series with the Colts for the second consecutive season.

Matt Ryan passed for 243 yards with 1 touchdown and 2 picks while the ground game slogged to a mere 65 yards despite having the dynamic Jonathan Taylor in the backfield who accounted for 58 of those yards on 10 carries.

Pick and Prediction

The Colts opened as 6-point home favorites, and although some of the best online sportsbooks have yet to budge, others have dropped that line a full 2 points with Bookmaker (visit our Bookmaker Review) offering Indianapolis -3.5 (-109). And although Indy has had its issues, we should understand that the Commanders are not as good as their 3-4 record indicates. Grab this generous number on the home chalk while you can.

Predicted Score: Colts 21 - Commanders 13

NFL Pick: Colts -2 (-120) at BetOnline (visit our BetOnline Review)
