With three games already concluded on Thanksgiving Thursday, we’re going to have to dig a bit deeper to look for some value. With Week 12 here, every game matters just a little bit more for those teams in playoff contention. These games also matter for those teams looking for a top draft pick next season.

Here are some last-chance value NFL picks you can make for Week 12.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants

Sunday, November 28, 2021 – 01:00 PM EST at MetLife Stadium

The New York Giants just fired offensive coordinator Jason Garrett. I’m not going to say he was the problem or that he wasn’t the problem. However, a new play-caller isn’t going to solve the issues right now with the Giants.

The Giants are 3-7 on the year and can’t seem to figure out the offense with Saquan Barkley, Kenny Golladay, Darius Slayton, Sterling Shepard, Evan Engram, and more playmakers. Yes, I’m aware some of these guys have been injured a little bit this season, but this has been an ongoing problem for years.

Meanwhile, the Eagles have won three of their last four games. Each of their three wins, the Eagles have scored at least 30 points. In the loss, the Eagles dropped one to the Chargers, 27-24 in a close battle.

Despite the Giants being home, the Eagles should have no problem beating their rivals on the road. Philadelphia is 5-6 on the season and could get back to .500 with a win against New York.

Playoff talk has heated up with Philadelphia and if the Giants lose this one against their rivals, at home, the stove will be hot for Joe Judge and the entire Giants coaching staff.

New York Jets vs. Houston Texans

Sunday, November 28, 2021 - 01:00 PM EST at NRG Stadium

Let’s just pick on New York this week. The Jets quarterback situation has been hilariously mishandled. With rookie quarterback Zach Wilson getting the start for the Jets this week, the line has shifted in the Jets’ favor.

The Texans are now a -2.5 point favorite against the Jets at the NFL odds after being a 3-point favorite earlier. That ain’t it.

Who even knows if Wilson would’ve got the start if Mike White and Joe Flacco didn’t land on the COVID-19 protocol list. Wilson struggled all season long and now people think he’s just going to randomly perform at a high level?

The Jets just lost running back Michael Carter for a couple of weeks and he was really the lone consistent and major contributor on this offense, to begin with.

The Texans just went out and beat the Titans behind a defense that looked inspired and an offense that looked good enough with Tyrod Taylor under center. If Taylor was surrounded by better playmakers, he would be one of the better quarterbacks in the league. However, that’s not the case, but he’s capable, especially against the Jets, to lead the Texans down the field multiple times in this game and get the win.
