When it’s playoff time in the NFL, the best sportsbooks are sharper than ever. It’s never easy to find true value when there’s a limited amount of games. Sportsbooks aren’t going to forget about a game or two and make a different line in comparison to others.

So this week, we’ll have to find value using just our brains and not closing line value at the NFL odds. We’ll make it work.

Las Vegas Raiders vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Saturday, January 15, 2022 – 04:30 PM EST at Paul Brown Stadium

The Cincinnati Bengals are a -5 point favorite against the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders ended up knocking off the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday Night Football to clinch a playoff spot and face the Bengals in the AFC Wild Card Playoffs.

The Bengals already defeated the Raiders, 32-13 on the road and now Cincinnati will get a home game against them. Joe Burrow has thrown for nearly 1,000 yards in his last two starts and Joe Mixon is now activated off the COVID list. Everything is going right for the Bengals.

In that game against the Raiders, Burrow only threw for 148 yards and a touchdown while going 20-for-29. But since that game, Burrow has started to get comfortable in the pocket and is making some big-time plays.

It also helps to know that Mixon rushed 30 times for 123 yards and 2 touchdowns against the Raiders earlier this season.

The offensive line for the Bengals will need to step up and there’s good reason to think that Burrow will get sacked a handful of times. But Burrow always seems to find ways out of third and long situations anyway.

Meanwhile, the Bengals defense shut down Derek Carr and the Raiders to 13 points in that game. The Bengals’ defense really isn’t great but it’ll be good enough against the Raiders to move on to next week’s game.

The Bengals had no issues stopping Josh Jacobs, who had 9 carries for just 37 yards and the one guy who had success against the Bengals was Darren Waller, who came back from injury last week and looked extremely rusty, catching just two balls on nine targets.

So take the Bengals -5 for your NFL picks, since they’ve dropped from -6.5 earlier this week.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Dallas Cowboys

Sunday, January 16, 2022 – 4:30 PM EST at AT&T Stadium

The San Francisco 49ers have won four of their last five games and just knocked off the Los Angeles Rams, on the road, 27-24 in overtime. The 49ers have looked great defensively, holding teams to 24 points or fewer in their last five games.

Niners are fantastic on the ground and continue to utilize Deebo Samuel in the running game to get their best playmaker in space.

The Cowboys have one of the worst rushing defenses in the NFL and that rushing defense had some players forgetting how to tackle properly this season.

The 49ers won’t start Trey Lance in this game, so it’ll be important for the 49ers to protect the football and run it. That won’t go well for Dallas.

Plus, while the Cowboys have a solid offense behind Dak Prescott, the 49ers have been pretty solid in the secondary this season and have a better pass rush than the Cowboys do this season.

I’d like the 49ers at plus money in this spot.
