It’s the final week of the regular season. There are plenty of players sitting out of Week 18 with a playoff spot already locked up. But there are also many teams that have a lot to play for this weekend. Here are two valuable best bets before Week 18 in the NFL begins.

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Las Vegas Raiders

Sunday, January 09, 2022 – 8:20 PM EST at Allegiant Stadium

Last week, I told everyone to bet on the Raiders against the Colts, no matter who the quarterback was. The Raiders, of course, won the game outright, and the +7 easily hit. This weekend, the Raiders and Chargers are fighting for an NFL playoff spot.

The winner of this game makes the postseason and the other likely doesn’t. The Chargers would be eliminated with a loss but the Raiders would still have a slight chance to make it. Either way, I like the Raiders, at home, to get the job done.

The Raiders have only scored 21.2 points per game this season but the offense hasn’t needed to score that much, especially late, as the Raiders’ defense has stepped up in a big way. The Raiders allowed 20 points or fewer in four of their last five games. The only game where the Raiders struggled to get stops was against the Kansas City Chiefs.

And that’s just a cursed thing at this point. The Raiders will never be able to stop the Chiefs and their offense in that rivalry matchup. But you know what will help this Raiders offense again? Tight end Darren Waller. Waller practiced for two straight days and despite being limited, signs are points to Waller playing in this game.

The Raiders were holding out as long as they could to bring back Waller when he was healthy. Finally, in a game that will decide the playoffs, Waller will more than likely return. How’s that for the Raiders offense? For your NFL picks, take the Raiders again, at home.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Arizona Cardinals

Sunday, January 9, 2022 – 04:25 PM EST at State Farm Stadium

We all love points. This game between the Seahawks and Cardinals should deliver. Not only are the Cardinals playing for the NFC West division, but this game could also be Russell Wilson’s final game as a Seattle Seahawks quarterback.

So I’m expecting points in this game between the two reliable quarterbacks. Since Wilson has returned for the Seahawks, the offense is starting to click. The Seahawks scored 51 points against the Lions and scored at least 24 points in four of five games.

In the other game, the Seahawks scored 10 against a very good Rams defense. Overall, the Cardinals gave up 22 to Dallas and 22 to the Colts. Prior to that, the Lions scored 30 and the Rams scored 30 before that.

There’s value on the over between these two teams. I know everyone likes to pick the under in divisional games, but both of these teams are capable of scoring in the ’30s in this game. With the total set at 48 (-110), there’s value on the over.
