If you’re looking fr value in the NFL, it’s always good to check lines as soon as they open for the week. However, if you’re unable to do this, you can still find value later in the week. Let me point out some areas that you can look at for Sunday’s games. Let’s see the NFL odds.
Los Angeles Chargers vs. Cincinnati Bengals
Sunday, December 05, 2021 – 01:00 PM EST at Paul Brown Stadium
I’m starting to think the Bengals are being a little disrespected here. At home, the Bengals are just -3, after scoring 73 points in the last two games since coming off a bye week. The Bengals are playing extremely well right now and have averaged over four touchdowns per game this season while allowing less than three touchdowns per game.
Meanwhile, the Chargers have not looked good defensively, giving up at least 24 points in each of their last five games. Los Angeles has also lost three of their last five games and is averaging just 24.8 points per game while giving up 26.6 points per game.
The Chargers have lacked a lot on the defensive end, including the run game, where they’ve allowed 145.3 yards per game this season. Tackling has been an issue for both teams and the pass rush and coverage are pretty even on both sides. Once the Bengals are able to find success rushing the football, everything will start to open up for the Bengals. The offense looks extremely good right now.
A Chargers defense that has allowed 24 or more points in their last five games will struggle against Joe Burrow and the Bengals. Also, Justin Herbert started off the season so well but things have kind of dipped for him so far. Burrow and Herbert will both be studs in this league for a while, but Burrow will prove he’s got the upper hand again in this one.
Arizona Cardinals vs. Chicago Bears
Sunday, December 05, 2021 - 01:00 PM EST at Soldier Field
The Cardinals aren’t talking about it much, but it seems very likely that DeAndre Hopkins and Kyler Murray will return this week for the Cardinals. The Cardinals are currently 9-2 on the year and have one of the best offenses when healthy. The defense has also done their part this year as well and will now take on the Chicago Bears without Justin Fields.
This is a game between Kyler Murray and Andy Dalton and yet the spread is sitting at just -7.5. Sounds like a lot of value to me. The Cardinals are going to be fresh with their starting quarterback under center. Murray can do so much more than Colt McCoy can do.
The exact opposite can be said about Dalton in comparison to Fields. Fields can move around the pocket and create while Dalton simply can’t do that anymore. Dalton struggled to find success against the Lions during Thanksgiving, only beating a winless Lions team by two points, 16-14. For your NFL picks, take the Cardinals at -7.5 and watch them win by double figures.
