The one-way betting arrangement will enable bettors in the United States to place bets on Hong Kong horse races through the Las Vegas Dissemination Company as early as September, while the ban on Hong Kong residents betting with overseas bookmakers remains in place.
Earlier last month, the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities announced the launch of Global Trifecta, a new bet allowing horse racing fans in Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, South Africa, USA, Canada, France, UK and Ireland to bet on a single race into a global pool through the process commonly referred to as “co-mingling”.
