UK sporting bodies want a share of the revenue generated by gambling on their sports

As reported by the Guardian, governing bodies for cricket, golf, rugby and soccer are due to meet with the Gambling Commission this month to ask for a percentage of the bookmakers\’ profits generated by gambling on their sports, estimated at £520m in 2005.
