According to The Guardian, several betting firms, many already involved in sport, have made tentative inquiries about sponsoring the 2012 Games in London, but the IOC made it clear once again that it does not want to get involved with gambling companies.
“When it comes to gambling we say they will have no association with the Olympic Games,” said Gerhard Heiberg, Head of the IOC\’s marketing commission.
“We do not want anything to do with them.”
