The European Commission said Paris and Stockholm will be referred to the European Court of Justice if within two months they don’t provide satisfactory answers to the Commission’s concerns over the measures to restrict the free movement of sports betting services. According to the EC, which also sent an initial warning to Greece, the restrictions placed on foreign sports betting operators in France and Sweden have not been shown to be necessary, proportionate and non-discriminatory.
