Racing consortium discussing options to buy the Tote with foreign operators

The consortium bidding to take over the Tote on behalf of British racing, which now comprises the Racecourse Association, Racecourse Holdings Trust and a group of racehorse owners, is reported to be holding informal talks with overseas tote operators, including Australia\’s Tabcorp and South Africa\’s Phumelela, in an attempt to meet the £400 million price tag.
