The company which started offering its superbet pools in mid-October is hoping a sustained programme of international promotion will help increasing its profile.
“We have started some low-key international promotion and we will build it up over the next few months, so hopefully the bet will have a fair momentum when the racing programme steps up in the spring time,” said the company Chief Executive, Rob Hartnett, to the Racing Post.
With the Tote having a statutory monopoly on pool betting on horseracing in Britain, Race-O, which operates with an offshore license granted by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission in Canada, cannot advertise in the UK
“We are well aware of the restrictions on our advertising within the UK and we are not going to contravene them in any way,” said Hartnett.
