Portlandbet closes operation

The Canberra-based bookmaker holds undecided bets that carry a maximum payout of approximately A$178,000. Some of these bets will not be decided until 2011.
While Portlandbet will offer its customers the opportunity to cancel these bets at face value, the company told the ACT Gaming Commission that it intends to maintain its betting licensein good standing throughout the process.
