The developer of wireless platform software announced two separate license agreements with BEToptions, an online sportsbook platform provider, and with Kiron Interactive, a skill games developer.

Both companies run their products on multiple channels: internet, call-centre and retail (manned and unmanned Point of Sale terminals) for BEToptions; internet, interactive TV, TV broadcast and kiosks for Kiron.

Phantom Fiber\’s Advanced Wireless Platform, which supports over 1000 mobile devices worldwide, will enable BEToptions and Kiron to deliver their applications to mobile users. The business terms of both agreements are based on a user fee revenue model generated through mobile application usage in addition to service maintenance fees.

BEToptions\’ list of clients includes Mansion, Sports Acumen and Bowmans International. The company is currently developing an online betting service, commissioned by Racing Victoria, which would allow Australian customers to compare prices and place wagers on the best price offered by the participating Victorian bookmakers.

“BEToptions has one of the best architected and most comprehensive solutions on the market today with an open architecture that easily adapts to European and North American betting styles. Their horse and sport events wagering management systems provide the user and operator with extensive functionality and sophisticated reporting which immediately led to mutual recognition that our respective advanced solutions created the perfect opportunity for partnership and thus made our decision swift and logical. No different than ourselves, BEToptions proved itself by delivering an advanced gaming platform called WAGERplayer which currently powers many of the leading brands in the sports and horse racing segments of the global gaming industry and even achieved benchmarks of 10,000 bets per minutes using an advanced risk management system with real-time alerts,” commented Jeff Halloran, President and Chief Executive of Phantom Fiber.

“With planned expansion into additional markets such as South Africa and the Caribbean, we felt it was imperative to make the move towards a mobile solution that would prepare our licensed operators for mobile channel growth already being realized in the sports and racing segment of the gaming industry. Phantom Fiber was highly regarded and extremely noticeable at the UK ICE event and after reviewing some of their live mobile products across leading brand operators in several gaming segments, we were convinced that choosing their wireless platform with broad device support was the right option to complement our best-of-breed WAGERplayer Platform. We plan to work closely with Phantom Fiber as we enable our leading brands for mobile penetration in 2006 and beyond,” said Antony Burrows, Director of Operations for BEToptions.

Kiron Interactive\’s flagship product turned virtual horse racing into a household phenomenon within the United Kingdom. Its growing list of clients include Ladbrokes, UK Betting Group, Independent News and Media, Cashcade and Attheraces.

“With the recent surge in virtual horse racing on the Internet, a mobile extension was the next logical step in the growth of this product offering. Beyond the PC, the entertainment value involved with monitoring races, managing personal stables and many other variables within the horseracing industry makes the move to a mobile environment a logical evolution for Kiron. Phantom Fiber\’s ability to deliver streaming video content and manage high speed transactions in a graphically rich presentation coupled with Kiron\’s creative and exciting virtual horse racing product made the decision to partner with them a very simple and obvious one. The management experience and talent at Kiron in delivering the necessary level of complexity in a comprehensive framework will certainly make them a leader in the industry and we are extremely excited to be a part of that,” said Halloran.

“With a strong footprint in the UK at the moment and plans to expand into continental Europe and North America in 2006, we decided that our virtual racing games would be complemented with broader reach and distribution through an advanced wireless platform solution that could serve multiple markets with the myriad of devices available in jurisdictions worldwide. With Phantom Fiber, our virtual racing products will be available to over 1000 mobile devices worldwide allowing punters to create racing profiles, select horses and choose set and instant play horserace events for truly interactive entertainment which can engage virtually any gamer on the move. We look forward to establishing a deployment roadmap for our client base in 2006 and enable their offering with mobile virtual racing products which are bound to gain traction in the mobile gaming sector with similar results already experienced in the United Kingdom with our Internet-based products,” said Steven Spartinos, Business Development Director for Kiron Interactive.
