Europe\’s first prepaid card for internet payments entered the Slovenian and Greek markets and is planning to futher expand into France, Italy, Poland, Slovakia and Spain later this year.
Paysafecard, which enjoys a large presence and customer base in Germany and Austria, increased its monthly transaction volume by an unprecedented 200 per cent to EUR 5 million in 2005.
The prepaid cards sold in tobacco shops, filling stations, electronic stores and in selected internet cafes, are accepted by some of the largest European sportsbooks, including Admiral, Bet365, BetandWin, Expekt, Gamebookers and Interwetten.
