As reported by the Racing Post, Ladbrokes were happy with turnover figures during the Cheltenham Festival and decided to re-propose to their shop punters in-running betting for the feature races races at Aintree next month.
“There was no problem logistically and technologically and feedback we have received from punters initially in research was very promising,” commented David Williams of Ladbrokes.
In separate news, John O’Reilly, Ladbrokes Managing Director of remote betting and gaming, said the company will not be rushed into making acquisitions and he is confident it will hold off the advances of private equity houses looking to buy it.
O’Reilly also confirmed the company would make a statement regarding its position on taking US bets in time for its interims statement in July.
