Following a successful pilot, the online service, which provides instant, real-time, one-to-one access to professional help for remote gamblers who feel they are losing control of their gambling activities, is set to go live from this month.
During the six months trial, the service has already hosted over 55,000 visits, providing 1000 one-to-one help sessions between April and July. Internet gambling sites who are already using gamAid include Betfair, Ladbrokes, SportingOdds, VIP, Camelot, BetMax, DigiBet and Playboy, all of whom have commented on its ease of use.
“With the changes of the Gambling Act coming into force in 2007 we can already provide a practical way for gambling operators worldwide to fulfill their social responsibilities. In fact, gamAid is the only service that lets gambling sites meet the demands of the UK Gambling Commission,” commented Tony Roberts, manager of UK based gamAid.
