EC to censure France and Sweden for sports betting restrictions

While Der Spiegel reports that the European Commission has offered the German states a compromise that would allow them to mantain the monopolies on lotteries and casinos if they open up sports betting to private firms, the AFP says the EU will issue this week final warnings to France and Sweden before taking them to the European Court of Justice.
