There are some exciting matches in the Champions League this week with a couple of big-name clashes on Tuesday and about the same number Wednesday. If you can only sit down to one night of Champions League action this week, it may be tough to decide which night it will be.
I’m going to go through the games in alphabetical order and although there won’t be a bet on every game, if I have one, I will share it with you. I don’t have the space to go through all the games so I’ll just pick out the best.
APOEL v Borussia Dortmund is the first game, and APOEL already find themselves in bottom spot of the group with just two games played. That’s only on goal difference, though, as Dortmund have an equally round number of points (0). It’s a bit of a surprise to see Dortmund with no points so far, but as a Spurs fan, I’ll definitely take it. Dortmund are clearly a good side but APOEZL will not be brushed off at home and I think there is some value in going for APOEL +2 in the Asian Handicap markets. BetVictor have that at 1.81 which is good enough for me. Check out Borussia Dortmund’s injury list if you need more convincing.
Manchester City v Napoli should be a great game. City are in great form and could well be the side to beat in the Premier League. Napoli look like they could be the ones to stop Juventus’ run of consecutive wins. Both sides know the way to goal but Both Teams To Score isn’t an option at BMR’s green-listed sportsbooks due to the low odds available. No bet for me on this one but a great match ahead.
Maribor are long odds for a win against Liverpool, perhaps too long. Liverpool are a good side but their most dangerous player is out for a few more weeks and their defence does not look solid. Maribor +2.25 is an option at 1.8 with Bet365.
Real Madrid v Tottenham is my game of choice for Tuesday night but I am not looking to bet on it, as my nerves will be shot as it is without putting money in the mix.
Wednesdays first bet is on the Qarabag v Atletico Madrid game. My bet is on Atletico to Win to Nil. The Madrid defence is not as solid as it once was but at 1.7 with Ladbrokes, this is a great bet in my eyes.
After that we’re down to just one more bet and that is backing Manchester United away from home against Benfica at 1.83 with Pinnacle. After a disappointing league result, Benfica could well feel a backlash in this one.
Bayern Munich v Celtic is probably television’s game of the night and probably the one I’ll be settling down to, but sometimes games are better off just being watched.
