Commenting the article from The Sunday Times, which suggested that the leading betting exchange was exploring a potential £700 million float, Mark Davies, the company\’s director of communications, claimed such a move is not imminent.
“There\’s been far greater speculation on the subject outside the office than there has been inside the office, and there always has been. It\’s not something that\’s going to happen in the immediate future,” Davies said.
“Even if we decided that we wanted to float tomorrow, I shouldn\’t think we would be able to do it for six months, and we haven\’t decided that we want to do it. It\’s pure speculation,” he added.
Davies also described the relationship with investment bank NM Rothschild as “market rumour.”
