Anti-online gambling measures not part of defense bill

Senator John Warner, Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, has rejected Frist\’s appeals to have language aimed at the prohibition of online gambling attached to a defense authorization bill. In a memo to the Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, Sen. Warner said that he was “firmly opposed” to adding unrelated measures to the defense bill.
