Moscow Flyer\’s win in the Queen Mother Champion Chase cost £180,000 to the legendary on-course bookmaker, notorious for accepting six-figure bets from super-punter JP McManus.

“It was a disaster. I opened up at 11.30, at 7-4 Moscow Flyer, and took fortunes all the way in to 11-8, including a bet of £60,000 at 11-8,” said the Scottish bookmaker.
