The provider of IT services to the betting industry said it would raise £8.4m to fund a joint venture into the media rights market which would supply betting shops in the UK and Ireland with pictures of live sporting events.
UPDATE: The Racing Post has identified in Racing UK the partner of Alphameric in the joint venture that would challenge the SIS monopoly on live horseracing pictures shown in high street betting shops.
