It’s time for the rematch of the SEC Championship game. The Alabama Crimson Tide will look to defeat the Georgia Bulldogs for the second time in five weeks after a 41-24 victory on December 4. Which is the right college football pick at the over/under?

Prior to that game, Georgia ended up winning 12 straight games and had the best defense in the nation. On the season, Georgia has allowed just 9.5 points per game, but Alabama didn’t even care.

Instead of Georgia holding Alabama to around 9.5 points in that SEC Championship game, Alabama made light work of the talented Georgia defense, scoring 41 points in the rout.

Alabama clinched 25 first downs and earned 50% of third-down conversions. The Crimson Tide also totaled 536 yards of offense when Georgia has allowed just 253.9 yards per game on the year.

Alabama was the first offense to have serious success offensively against Georgia. The Bulldogs allowed 17 points or fewer in every game other than the game against Alabama. And this was against SEC competition along with Clemson earlier this year.

Georgia held Arkansas to no points and kept Auburn at 10. Kentucky only scored 13 and Florida scored just seven.

But again, Alabama scored 41 in the game that mattered the most and ended up winning the SEC Championship. Of course, Georgia defeated Michigan in the semifinals, 34-11, and proved much more superior to Michigan in that game. Defensively, Georgia was in sync and looked exactly how they had looked all year.

So was that one SEC Championship game a hiccup for the Georgia defense or is Alabama’s offense just that good?

Alabama only scored 27 points against Cincinnati in the semifinals game. The game was basically won after the first touchdown, so Alabama didn’t need to run up the score or anything.

The Crimson Tide scored 41.1 points per game this season along with nearly 500 yards of offense. What they did to Georgia was pretty much a mirror of what they’ve been doing offensively against every team.

At the end of the day, both teams have been lighting up the scoreboard offensively. If you combined both offenses and their averages, you’d get just over 80 points per game with close to 1,000 yards.

On the big stage, the offense usually always seems to take over in these games. I think Georgia’s defense is one of a kind. I really do, but I also know that Alabama has the Heisman quarterback and an offense that can beat anyone, whether it’s in the run game or passing game.

So, therefore, I’m going to take over 52 at the NCAAB odds in the National Championship game. Both offenses are more than capable of putting up four touchdowns in this game. Alabama’s defense is also vulnerable, as they’ve allowed teams like Arkansas to go and score 35 points this year.

Rematches for National Championships aren’t always exciting, but I can truly say that the two best teams are playing for the National Championship. Now you know which way to go at the top-rated sportsbooks.
