You can print money putting the Under in your college football picks if you choose bets like this trio of Week 12 NCAAF props.

Maybe we should just bet Odd for the rest of our lives. All three of our Week 11 college football props made it to the pay window, sweeping the Odd side of the Odd/Even Total Points wager. Florida Atlantic and Florida International even landed on the magic number 59 when the Owls prevailed 52-7.

Now that we’re all zillionaires, let’s get back to one of the more standard props on the NCAAF odds board. We did so well two weeks ago taking the Under for Total Passing Touchdowns, we’re going to hit up those skill players again, the wide receivers this time.

Specifically, we’ll be hammering the Under for Total Receiving Yards. These props should naturally have less variance than touchdown props since we’re dealing with much larger totals. Speaking of which, we’ll be using the early overseas totals again for our analysis, since this prop isn’t on the board yet here at Bookmakers Review as we go to press. Adjust your bets and expectations as required.

USC Trojans vs. UCLA Bruins

Saturday, November 19, 2022 – 08:00 PM EST at Rose Bowl

The Battle of Los Angeles already has one of this week’s tastiest straight bets: Under 76.5. So of course we’re going to start by taking Under 63.5 yards for Tahj Washington, the immensely talented Trojans wideout.

This bet isn’t an indictment of Washington’s skills; he’s an innocent bystander in all this. Casual fans are just too hyped up over the Trojans and their offense, led by the No. 6 favorite on the Heisman Trophy odds at Bovada (visit our Bovada Review): QB Caleb Williams (+1100).

Of course, Williams was the one quarterback who spoiled our Total Passing Touchdown picks, throwing 4 of them (Over 2.5) in USC’s 41-35 win over California. And Washington had 7 catches for 112 yards in that game.

This was against a Golden Bears team without much talent on either side of the ball. UCLA’s defense may rank No. 72 on the F+ charts at Football Outsiders, which is worse than Cal (No. 60), but the Bruins also rank 5th overall on offense.

Chip Kelly and his minions will presumably do a better job keeping control of the ball and keeping both Williams and Washington off the field.

Utah Utes vs. Oregon Ducks

Saturday, November 19, 2022 - 10:30 PM EST at Autzen Stadium

This time it’s the Ducks in the spotlight, and we’re looking at you, Troy Franklin. You and your outstanding hair have done very well this year, but 55.5 yards against a decent Utes defense (No. 27 on the F+ charts) is too many yards.

Again, if you need someone to blame, throw a rock at QB Bo Nix. After some early-season struggles, Nix has vaulted into the periphery of the Heisman conversation at +8000, making him the No. 8 favorite at Bovada for the biggest individual award in college football.

If only the Ducks had any stopping power. They rank third in offense, but only No. 66 on defense, which again means fewer opportunities for Franklin to rack up the yards; he’ll be trying to stay warm on the sidelines while Utah’s offense (No. 14) does its thing.

Indiana Hoosiers vs. Michigan State Spartans

Saturday, November 19, 2022 - 12:00 PM EST at Spartan Stadium

Is it too late to dunk on the Spartans? Maybe they were never going to match last year’s 11-2 record, but 5-5 (4-6 ATS) is well below expectation for Year Three of the Mel Tucker regime. Michigan State was No. 15 on the AP preseason poll; now they’re No. 59 on the F+ charts heading into Week 12.

Sparty fans still believe, though. WR Keon Coleman is looking at a total of 49.5 receiving yards for Saturday’s matchup with the Hoosiers, which would normally not be an issue against the No. 87-ranked defense in college football if it weren’t for the weather.

This is the real McCoy, folks: snow. It started falling Tuesday over East Lansing and should continue off and on through Saturday night. There might be a window to get the game in while the skies are relatively calm, but either way, it’s going to be a chore for both these teams to move the ball up the field.

Bet accordingly at the best sportsbooks, and may the prolate spheroid be with you.
