Georgia Bulldogs vs. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
Saturday, November 27, 2021 – 12:00 PM EST at Bobby Dodd Stadium
The public will be sending it in on Georgia like they’re reading the Sunday morning newspapers. They say hindsight is 20/20 but, in this game, the masses will be convinced they have 20/20 foresight as the Bulldogs are undefeated, the No. 1 team in the nation, and hot off the heels of a 56-7 thrashing of FCS lightweight, Charleston Southern.
Now compare that to Georgia Tech’s worst performance of the season, occurring last week in a 55-0 drubbing by Notre Dame. The 35-point spread looks like ice cream to Joe Q. Public who never saw an inflated line he didn’t devour.
What we need to consider is that Georgia is on the road and looking ahead to a conference title tilt with Alabama the following week. This could very well be a national championship preview and the Dawgs are fully aware that they need to stay healthy, and style points are not needed in this game to maintain their No. 1 ranking, only a win.
Let’s grab the 35 points with the home pup and cash a ticket in our college football picks!
Miami (FL) Hurricanes vs. Duke Blue Devils
Saturday, November 27, 2021 - 12:30 PM EST at Wallace Wade Stadium
The number on this one is high for a reason but it’s not high enough to prevent us from going over the posted total. Miami will be rocking like a hurricane all afternoon long as they will be connecting early and often as their No. 13 passing attack eviscerates the 128th ranked Duke passing defense.
Don’t forget, the Canes average nearly 33 points per game and they will undoubtedly improve that average in this one. That means we are well more than halfway over the 68 ½ point total.
Now the beauty part of this game is that the Miami defense is not nearly as prolific as its offense which means Duke will get its fair share of points as well. Miami’s pass defense is almost as porous as Duke’s, checking at No. 106 and surrendering nearly 260 passing yards per game.
We might see Duke do a little bit of rushing at the beginning because they have an edge there, but that will stop the moment they fall behind by a few touchdowns. And then we can watch the aerial shows from both sides for the rest of the game. Fly high in this one!
Oklahoma Sooners vs. Oklahoma State Cowboys
Saturday, November 27, 2021 - 7:30 PM EST at Boone Pickens Stadium
Brace yourselves for the Shootout at Stillwater happening this Saturday. Both teams check in with a 10-1 straight-up record but the Cowboys have treated their backers much better at the betting windows, having cashed in 9-of-11 instances while the Sooners are a mere 5-6 against the spread.
So why would I eschew the 3 ½ points we are getting with the road dog and grab the +155 on the moneyline? Well, Oklahoma is going to win this game outright so that’s a pretty good reason, right? And the reason they will emerge victoriously is that I trust the Sooners’ prolific offense more than I do the Cowboys’ stout defense. Oklahoma has won the last six meetings in this rivalry and will add number seven before this one is through.
