Syracuse Orange vs. Illinois Fighting Illini

Tuesday, November 29, 2022 – 07:30 PM EST at State Farm Center

  • Matthew Mayer (Illinois) Over/Under 8.5 Points

Matthew Mayer left Baylor for Illinois for his senior season. He’s averaging just 18.3 minutes per game but saw 23 minutes in the two games against Power 5 opponents. Mayer will likely see about 23 minutes again tonight. However, he’s shooting 32.5% from the floor while averaging just 1.2 threes per game.

From deep, Mayer has only hit 28% from downtown, and he’s not even getting to the line consistently. On the season, Mayer has scored 6.3 points per game this season. He will take about four threes per game, and Syracuse has allowed teams to shoot 35.6% from downtown.

However, Mayer isn’t getting consistent playing time and hasn’t yet a single game with three three-pointers. More than half of his shots are coming from downtown, to begin with. Let's back the Under 8.5 points for Mayer.

Remember to check our New York Betting Sites if you're located in the area and are betting on this game.

Baylor Bears vs. Marquette Golden Eagles

Tuesday, November 29, 2022 - 08:30 PM EST at Fiserv Forum

  • Tyler Kolek (Marquette) Over/Under 1.5 Threes

Tyler Kolek is averaging 1.3 threes per game this season for Marquette. He’s also shooting 42.9% from deep, going 9-for-21 from downtown this season.

Marquette hasn’t shot the ball very well from downtown, but they still love to shoot from deep. As a team, the Golden Eagles have hit 31.8% from downtown. Baylor has allowed opponents to shoot 37.6% from three. The Bears have struggled to defend the three-point line to begin the season.

Kolek isn’t a volume three-point shooter. But if he takes four or more threes in tonight’s game, there’s a high chance he will nail two threes. He nailed four threes against Mississippi State but went 0-4 against Purdue. The common theme is that he’s taking a higher amount of threes against Power 5 opponents.

Back Kolek to hit two threes in tonight’s game against Baylor. The Bears haven’t been good at defending in that area this season.

  • Keyonte George (Baylor) Over/Under 4.5 Rebounds

Keyonte George has earned at least five rebounds in four of six games this year. He struggled against Virginia and UCLA but has a better matchup against Marquette tonight.

As I suggested earlier, Marquette will take many threes against a Baylor defense that has struggled to defend from downtown. However, Marquette must likely catch at least 65% of their attempts from downtown.

The Golden Eagles have only earned 26.5% of offensive rebounds. The Bears should be able to dominate the defensive glass in tonight’s game. George has a defensive rebounding rate of 13.5%, the second highest among starters.

Meanwhile, Baylor has also earned 37.6% of offensive rebounds. Marquette has held teams to 27% offensive rebounds this year. George can still earn a rebound or two on the offensive glass. He’s got an offensive rebounding rate of 5.2% coming into tonight’s game.

After looking at the NCAAB odds, I'll back George to earn a high rebound rate tonight.

NCAAB Pick: Keyonte George Over 4.5 Rebounds (+120) at BetOnline

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets vs. Iowa Hawkeyes

Tuesday, November 29, 2022 - 09:00 PM EST at Carver-Hawkeye Arena

  • Filip Rebraca Over/Under 8.5 Points

Filip Rebraca is earning 9.8 points per game this season. He’s also averaged 8.2 rebounds on the season.

The Iowa forward has averaged 27.2 minutes per night and takes just 6.2 shots per game. However, he’s shooting 54.1% from the field and earning 4.5 trips to the line while shooting above 70% from the stripe. Rebraca won’t shoot a three, but he’s hit at least nine points in five of six games to start the season.

This season, Georgia Tech has allowed opponents to earn 37.2% of offensive rebounds. Iowa is 52nd nationally in offensive rebounds. The main reason is Rebraca, who has earned 10.7% of offensive rebounds. He leads the starting lineup in that category. Therefore, Rebraca should be able to earn a couple of second chances on the glass, resulting in more points for his stat line.

I’ll grab the Over 8.5 for Rebraca’s points. He’s a consistent player earning about 10 points per night. His shots selection is always close to the rim, with easy looks.
