Loyola Maryland Greyhounds vs. Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks
Saturday, November 26, 2022 – 11:00 AM EST at Raider Arena
The Loyola Maryland Greyhounds will take on the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks to begin the four-game slate in the Emerald Coast Classic. Loyola only has one win against a D1 opponent, while ULM has no wins against a D1 opponent.
The Greyhounds have shot a 47.7% effective field goal percentage while turning the ball over nearly 25% of the time. They’ve also been terrible on the offensive glass but are at least shooting 34.3% from downtown.
Meanwhile, ULM has one of the worst offenses in college basketball, shooting an effective field goal percentage of 37.6%. Loyola Maryland should end up with more offensive rebounds and will also get to the line at a higher rate in this game.
Teams are shooting at a very high percentage against Loyola Maryland. But the Warhawks aren’t capable of being that efficient on offense.
The Pick
Both teams have allowed opponents to shoot over 40% from downtown and over 55% from inside the arc.
But again, Loyola Maryland should shoot from a higher percentage from long range and win the rebounding battle. So I’ll take Loyola Maryland at -180.
NCAAB Pick: Loyola Maryland ML (-180) at BetOnline (visit our BetOnline Review)

Southern University Jaguars vs. Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks
Saturday, November 26, 2022 - 01:30 PM EST at Raider Arena
The Southern Jaguars have won two straight games over California and Loyola Maryland. Now they’ll look to extend their win streak to three with a game against Omaha.
Omaha has wins against UL Monroe and Idaho but has severe losses to teams like Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa. Omaha has played tough competition, but that doesn’t mean they’ll be ready when they take on Southern.
The Jaguars have shot 37.5% from downtown and nearly 75% from the foul line. The offense has an effective field goal percentage of 48.6, slightly below average.
However, Omaha has allowed teams to shoot an effective field goal percentage of 54%. They’ve also allowed teams to hit 38.7% from downtown. That’s big for a Southern team that can make it rain from downtown.
On the other hand, Omaha is turning the ball over 21.4% of the time. Southern has earned 28% of turnovers per game this season. Opponents have also shot just over 30% from downtown. The Mavericks don’t have shooters that can hit threes consistently, shooting just 27.7% from downtown.
The Pick
Southern’s very aggressive and will foul Omaha at a high rate. Omaha has made 78% of foul shots. That’s practically how Omaha will stay in this game. They’ll hit foul shots and should have plenty of success inside, where they take most of them anyway.
Therefore, I’ve got the Over 141.5 in this one.
NCAAB Pick: Over 141.5 (-110) at BetOnline

Clemson Tigers vs. California Bears
Saturday, November 26, 2022 - 04:00 PM EST at Raider Arena
The Clemson Tigers already have two losses on the year to South Carolina and Iowa. They’ll look to hold off an awful California team today.
California has lost every game this season. They’ve lost to UC Davis, UC San Diego, Southern, Texas State, TCU, and Kansas State. It’s been bad.
The Bears have no offense. They’re shooting an effective field goal percentage of 46.7% and have turned the ball over 26.2% of the time. Inside, California has shot 45.9%. From deep, the Bears have hit just 32%.
The Bears reached the line at a high rate and hit foul shots at 74.3% through their first six games. But they will struggle to score inside against an excellent Clemson defense.
The Pick
Clemson should earn over 20% turnovers in this game and hold California to a low shooting percentage.
On the other hand, Clemson isn’t getting a ton of offensive rebounds and second chances. They’re also not getting to the foul line a lot. But they’re still shooting 37.5% from deep and 50.9% from inside the arc. The Tigers should also be able to keep turnovers to a minimum.
Anyway, California has shown me nothing through six games. There’s no chance I’m backing them here.
NCAAB Pick: Clemson -10 (-110) at BetOnline

Iowa Hawkeyes vs. TCU Horned Frogs
Saturday, November 26, 2022 - 07:00 PM EST at The Arena at Raider Arena
The Iowa Hawkeyes have knocked off all five teams they’ve played. They’ve got essential wins over Seton Hall and Clemson. Now they’ll look to add another big win against TCU.
The Horned Frogs are 4-1 but have a brutal loss to Northwestern State on the resume.
The Horned Frogs haven’t played competition like Iowa this season. TCU is shooting a 46.9% effective field goal percentage while hitting under 25% from downtown. If that continues against Iowa, TCU has no chance of winning this game.
The Pick
The Horned Frogs are better defensively but still should struggle against an Iowa team, hitting 36.8% from deep and 54.7% from inside the arc. The Hawkeyes rarely turn the ball over, and if TCU can’t earn a high rate of steals, they will not be able to win this game.
For out last betting pick, let’s back Iowa in the final game of the Emerald Coast Classic.
NCAAB Pick: Iowa -6.5 (-110) at BetOnline
