The Minnesota Timberwolves are also coming off a loss. They were defeated by the Brooklyn Nets 124-123 on Friday night. The Timberwolves are tied for 7th place with the Dallas Mavericks. They are only one game behind the Golden State Warriors for sixth place. Yet four of their next five games are on the road so the Timberwolves have a tough stretch ahead.
Atlanta and Minnesota have yet to play each other this season, but the Hawks have regularly got the better of the Timberwolves, winning their last five matchups. The Hawks will look to keep that streak going tonight under new head coach Quin Snyder.
Trae Young Over 27.5 points
Trae Young is coming off a strong performance against Boston where he had 35 points and 13 assists. Young has now had 10 games where he scored at least 30 points and had more than 10 assists. He should continue his streak of stellar play tonight.
Young has been a big part of the Hawks’ win streak over the Timberwolves. He has gone over 27.5 points in six of his last seven games against the Timberwolves. During that span, Young has averaged 34.3 points per game.

The Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns will face off tonight at the Chase Center in San Francisco. The Warriors have been terrible on the road but they’ve been excellent at home. The Warriors have won seven games in a row at home.
The Warriors’ most recent home win was over the team with the best record in the NBA, the Milwaukee Bucks. The Warriors were able to prevail in overtime 125-116. They look to continue that streak tonight against another one of the NBA’s top teams.
Steph Curry was the difference in the win for the Warriors. Curry made plenty of tough shots with the game on the line. He scored 11 points in the final two minutes of regulation time and then dropped nine more in the overtime. Curry was unstoppable and the reason the Warriors won.
The Warriors will not be playing their former teammate Kevin Durant tonight. Durant won two championships with the Warriors but moved on from the team as a free agent. Still, the Warriors will face a tough task against the Suns’ quality squad including star Devin Booker.
The Suns lost their most recent game when they fell to the Sacramento Kings at home on Saturday night. They will look to get back on track against another Northern California rival.
Steph Curry Over 28.5 Points
Steph Curry averages 29.8 per game. He has gone over this total in his last three games. Curry knows the Warriors will need his sharpshooting to carry an offense that was lackluster while he was out of the lineup.
