Los Angeles Lakers vs. Los Angeles Clippers

Wednesday, November 9, 2022 – 10:00 PM EST at Arena

Paul George (Los Angeles Clippers)

  • Over 26.5 Points

The NBA's evening televised games will end with the “Battle of Los Angeles” when the Los Angeles Lakers take on the Los Angeles Clippers. Once again, Kawhi Leonard will miss the game, which leaves the majority of the scoring burden on Paul George.

We can expect LeBron James to have a big game as well, but let's be honest, he's in the stat-padding portion of his career. LeBron has been lazy and disinterested in defense.

Paul George will be able to take advantage of this. He has become an excellent scorer, and as long as he has the usage, he's been able to put up numbers. He has a great opportunity to get that usage tonight in a game that should be fast-paced.

George has a variety of offensive moves and against his crosstown rivals tonight, he will get the usage to put up big numbers. Going against a team that can sometimes take the cue of its leader and is completely uninterested on the defensive end, it is easy to see Paul George exceeding his points total.

The Clippers have been able to defeat the Lakers consistently as of late, and that trend will continue tonight behind the strength of Paul George's strong performance.

Detroit Pistons vs. Boston Celtics

Wednesday, November 9, 2022 - 07:30 PM EST at TD Garden

Cade Cunningham (Detroit Pistons)

  • Under 20.5 Points

Cade Cunningham’s continuous development this season has shown him to be a foundational player for which the Pistons to build their franchise around.

Cunningham's continued development has been exciting for the Pistons, even though their record is not that impressive. Still, Cade is putting up numbers and showing a greater feel for the game, and this season's leap in skill and output has been encouraging.

However, tonight Cade faces one of his toughest tests yet. Although the Celtics have regressed defensively this season, they're still one of the top defensive teams in the NBA.

Cade will not be able to hunt switches as Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown, and Jason Tatum are all good defenders. Even if Cade tries to single out Al Horford, that's a tougher matchup than he's used to when going against opposing centers.

The Pistons should be excited about Cade Cunningham's development, but young players have roadblocks in their development. Some games are going to look fantastic, and some games will be a learning experience. Following this nice set of NBA odds, I expect Cade to have a learning experience this evening going against one of the best defensive teams in the NBA.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Sacramento Kings

Wednesday, November 9, 2022 - 10:00 PM EST at Golden 1 Center

Domantas Sabonis (Sacramento Kings)

  • Under 11.5 Rebounds

Domantas Sabonis is an interesting player in the NBA. He is a center on offense but a power forward on defense. This has put him in an interesting dilemma as NBA teams try to build around his versatile offensive skill set.

In Indiana, he was a power forward with Myles Turner. While this pairing should have been ideal for Sabonis, the two were never able to make it work. Upon his trade to Sacramento, Sabonis was made a center. This is great on the offensive end but on the defensive end, he can struggle with rim protection and rebounding against the NBA's biggest men.

Sabonis will face such a struggle tonight going against the Twin Towers of Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley. Both men are much taller and longer than Sabonis. This will make Sabonis's fight on the defensive glass quite the struggle this evening.

Sabonis usually does well on offensive rebounding, but tonight he's going to have problems getting past the box outs of the fundamentally strong, and physically strong, Mobley and Allen. All in all, tonight will be a tough matchup for a Sacramento Kings team going against the Cleveland Cavaliers team that should be fired up to bounce back after bad officiating cost them the game in Los Angeles.

Domantas Sabonis is a great player but tonight his issues of being a center in a power forward’s body are going to come to haunt him against two true centers. The Cavaliers have two true centers, the Kings have zero. This will show up in the rebounding numbers.
