The teams have played once this season, on Christmas Day, in which the Golden State Warriors won 123-109. Now the teams will play again in San Francisco. The Grizzlies come into the game on a three-game losing streak after losing to the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday and then the Phoenix Suns on Sunday. They then rested their players against the Kings on Monday night to be ready for tonight's showdown.
While Steph Curry is a friendly, energetic guy, he has a fierce streak of competitiveness, especially when it comes to teams he doesn't like. The Memphis Grizzlies not only qualify as a team he doesn't like; they will be at the top of the list. The Golden State Warriors have definitely been a team that has been lackadaisical during certain games this year. However, when they get up for a game, they are back to championship caliber.
The Grizzlies' brash, trash-talking style gets their team fired up. However, it also fires up opponents who want to shut them up. Curry has kept quiet, but his teammate and great friend Klay Thompson has spoken about his disdain for the Grizzlies. Thompson and many others in the league feel the Grizzlies gloat and showboat too much for a team that has yet to accomplish anything significant in the postseason.

The Portland Trail Blazers are going to be a team that I will target for player prop Overs. The Blazers play at an incredibly high pace and their defense has been suspect as of late. They gave up 127 points to the San Antonio Spurs, one of the worst offenses in the league, in their last outing. They have given up more than 120 points in four of their last five games.
Utah has won 5 of its last 7 games and is now back in the playoff picture, sitting at 7th in the Western Conference standings. Their most recent game was a 120-102 win over the Charlotte Hornets.
Lauri Markkanen continues to put up impressive numbers as he makes a push for the All-Star team. Markkanen is averaging 24.8 points per game, but I expect that to be a lot higher against a Portland team that struggles on the defensive end, especially against larger players.
Markkanen has gone Over this number in five of his last nine games, including a 49-point outburst against another team with a weak defense, the Houston Rockets.
