The NBA action continues tonight. The standings are tight, and these teams are fighting hard for playoff positions. We have seen some outstanding individual player performances.

Let’s dive right in and find the best player props. Let’s take a look at today’s board to find more winning NBA picks.

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Los Angeles Lakers

Tuesday, March 07, 2023 – 10:00 PM EST at Crypto.com Arena

Anthony Davis (Los Angeles Lakers)

  • Over 29.5 Points

The Memphis Grizzlies will be without their star point guard Ja Morant when they take on the Los Angeles Lakers tonight. Morant will be out for the second consecutive game because of an NBA investigation of his conduct. Morant has been involved in several off-court issues, the most recent being brandishing a weapon on social media while filming from a strip club.

Morant’s immature behavior will benefit the Los Angeles Lakers tonight as they do not have to face off against the dynamic point guard.

The Grizzlies have been in Los Angeles. The Grizzlies played the Clippers on Sunday. In that game, they fell 135-129. The Grizzlies will be looking to bounce back.

The Los Angeles Lakers have been playing good basketball. The Lakers are 4-2 since the All-Star break and have won five of their past seven games. The Lakers are currently in 11th place, but teams ahead of them, such as the Pelicans and the Jazz, have been looking feeble as of late.

The Prop Pick

Even though LeBron James is out of the lineup, the Lakers are still getting wins. This is in big part due to the play of Anthony Davis. Over the last four games, Davis is averaging 33.8 points and 11.8 rebounds.

In his last two games, Anthony Davis has scored 39 and 38 points respectively. Davis will continue his strong play for the Lakers tonight. Our first player prop for the evening is Anthony Davis Over 29.5 points.

Brooklyn Nets vs. Houston Rockets

Tuesday, March 07, 2023 – 08:00 PM EST at Toyota Center

Jalen Green (Houston Rockets)

  • Over 21.5 Points

The Brooklyn Nets effectively ended their championship hopes for this season when they traded Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. But this team will not be in the cellar, because the team received quality players in return, including star forward Mikal Bridges. The Nets are now 4-6 since the trade deadline, and still, have a chance to make the playoffs.

A team that is in the cellar is the Houston Rockets, who are in last place in the Western Conference. However, the Rockets are coming off back-to-back wins over the San Antonio Spurs. It was the first time the Rockets have won two consecutive games in more than one month.

One key to the Rockets’ success against their Texas rivals has been their ability to get out in transition and score on the fast break. The Rockets had 30 fast break points in San Antonio on Saturday and then followed it up with 34 fast break points at home against the Spurs on Sunday.

A leader of that charge was Jalen Green who scored 31 points. Green shot 11-19 from the field. Green has always been electric in making his own shot, he needs to up his efficiency in order for the Rockets to reach the next level.

Jalen Green averages 21.7 points per game this season. Green missed time in February but is now fully healthy and his minutes and production have increased. He scored 17 points in just 19 minutes in his return against Denver on February 28th. He then ramped up his minutes to 29 and had 20 points against the Memphis Grizzlies. Then, on Sunday against the Spurs, he had more than a point per minute as he scored 31 points in just 27 minutes.

Green Has a Tough Test vs. Nets

The Nets are better than the Spurs, so this will be a tougher test for Jalen Green. However, Green has shown that he can defeat even the strongest defenders. This display of offensive acumen will be seen tonight. The Rockets will need Green to have a big night if they are to continue the positive momentum they built against the Spurs.

With the NBA lottery odds equal for the bottom four teams, there is no reason for the Rockets to full-out tank these last games.

They are assured of having the best possible percentage for getting the number one overall pick this season. This leveling of the odds has decreased the incentive for the worst teams to tank down the stretch and hopefully, that means we get a strong performance from the Rockets tonight. However, I fully expect that we will get a strong performance from Jalen Green.

The Prop Pick

Jalen Green has heard the rumors around him. Green knows that his play has been a question due to the Rockets’ subpar season. The Rockets have not improved in his second year, and while he is putting up good numbers, he needs to contribute to team success in order to be credited.

Green has a goal of being one of the best players in the NBA, and tonight and the rest of the season, mark a great opportunity for him to make a statement. Against one of the stronger defensive rosters in the league Green will show off his stuff. Following the NBA odds, our second player prop for the evening is Jalen Green Over 21.5 points.
