NBA Pick: Kawhi Leonard Over 25.5 Points (-104) at BetOnline (visit our BetOnline Review)

The NBA has a three-game slate tonight. Tonight marks the last night of regular season basketball until the 2023 All-Star break begins.
With a week of no NBA, it is imperative that we take advantage of tonight. Let’s dive right in to find winning player props. Let’s start the All-Star break right with winning NBA picks.
Los Angeles Clippers vs. Phoenix Suns
Thursday, February 16, 2023 – 10:00 PM EST at Footprint Center
Game Preview
The Phoenix Suns come into tonight's game as winners of five of their last six games. They are 11-3 in their last 14. Their most recent outing with a 120-109 victory over the Sacramento Kings. In that game we saw some great numbers:
- Devin Booker had 32 points
- Deandre Ayton had 29 points
- Chris Paul had an eye-popping 19 assists
However, tonight the Suns will face a much tougher defense than that of the Kings. The Los Angeles Clippers are one of the best defensive teams in the league.
Los Angeles Clippers broke a two-game losing streak with a 134-124 win over the Golden State Warriors. In the game, the Clippers debuted new players Mason Plumlee, Eric Gordon, and Bones Hyland. All the players made significant contributions, which is a good sign for the Clippers as they enter the stretch run.
Kawhi Leonard (Los Angeles Clippers)
- Over 25.5 Points
The biggest aspect of the Clippers' win was the performance of Kawhi Leonard, who scored 33 points in 34 minutes. That performance put Leonard over tonight's point prop total in five of his last eight games.
Leonard has been a killer from the mid-range and even the best NBA defenders, such as Draymond Green, have had problems stopping him. The Phoenix Suns will have the same problems tonight.
In the last game before the All-Star break, both Western Conference teams, who are looking to make a push up the standings, will be looking for a win. Both teams will be relying on their stars and I expect Leonard to come through. Our first player prop for the evening is Kawhi Leonard Over 25.5 points.

Washington Wizards vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
Thursday, February 16, 2023 - 08:00 PM EST at Target Center
Game Preview
The Washington Wizards are on a great run right now. On Tuesday night, they scored a 126-101 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. It was the Wizards' 9th win in their last 13 games. It also signified the sixth win of their last eight road games. Winning on the road in the NBA is tough. Many top teams such as the Warriors, Mavericks, and Grizzlies all have losing records on the road. For the Wizards to perform so well on the road is an admirable feat and portends well for their future success.
Porzingis' Performance vs. the Blazers
In the win over the Blazers, Kristaps Porzingis had:
- 28 points
- 12 rebounds
- 5 assists
He was 10-15 from the field, and he has scored more than 20 points in 14 of his last 19 games.
The Minnesota Timberwolves looked to be cruising to an easy win over the Dallas Mavericks when they amassed a 26-point lead. The Mavericks made a push back, but in the end, the Timberwolves were able to hold on for a 124-121 victory.
The game was defined by an excellent defensive possession where both Anthony Edwards and Jaden McDaniels were able to stay in front of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, and the Mavericks missed the final shot. For Edwards and McDaniels to close the game in such an impressive manner is a good sign for the Timberwolves' playoffs push.
Kristaps Porzingis
- Over 23.5 points
The Washington Wizards and Minnesota Timberwolves played in a high-scoring affair in November. Washington prevailed 142-127. In the win, Kristaps Porzingis had a career-high 41 points. This is a great matchup for the Latvian star. We will see Porzingis put up another huge stat line tonight.
Kristaps Porzingis averages 23 points a game but he has gone over the point total set tonight in five of his last seven outings. Porzingis has also shown that he knows how to be successful against the Timberwolves' frontcourt.
All this is the perfect recipe for us to bet a point prop over. Our second player prop for the evening is Kristaps Porzingis Over 23.5 points at -110 betting odds.
NBA Pick: Kristaps Porzingis Over 23.5 Points (-110) at BetOnline
