Brooklyn has been playing well at home going 11-3 in their past 14 home games. This season, they have a 13-7 record at home. Even without Durant, they have a chance to move up the standings in this upcoming stretch where they play eight of their next nine games at home.
New Talent
The Detroit Pistons are struggling to get wins this season. They lost four games in a row and have seven losses in their last eight games. In their most recent game, they gave up 150 points to the Milwaukee Bucks. The Pistons have a young team and they are struggling to learn how to compete in the NBA.
One of the main reasons they are struggling is they're prioritizing development over trying to win now. This makes sense as they had an excellent draft this year grabbing Jaden Ivey and Jalen Duren. Duren was one of the most exciting athletes in the draft, a 7-footer who moves like a guard. Duren already leads the team in rebounding at 8.8 rebounds per game. This is impressive because he only averages 24.4 minutes per game.
Jalen Duren has gone over this rebound total in seven of his last nine games. In the game before the Milwaukee game, Duren grabbed an efficient 12 rebounds in just 18 minutes. Duren is strong, he is a huge leaper, and already has the fundamentals of the box out down

Dallas Mavericks vs. Phoenix Suns

The Phoenix Suns had been falling out of playoff contention until they had a recent four-game winning streak. With the Western Conference standings being so tight, any winning or losing streak will cause a huge movement up and down the rankings.
A major reason for the Suns' recent uptick and play is the return of Cam Johnson. In a 128-97 win over the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday night Cam Johnson scored 24 points in just 18 minutes.
They should be facing a motivated opponent tonight when they take on the Mavericks who fell 127-126 to the Wizards on Tuesday night. Dallas has an MVP-caliber player in Luka Doncic, but he has struggled to win as many games as his elite-caliber play would dictate. The Mavs are having a fine season so far but it is safe to say that they are below their season's expectations.
Rivalry Game?
The Suns and the Mavericks have a rivalry brewing due to last season's playoffs. Dallas eliminated the Suns in a seven-game series last season in the semifinals. The games were chippy and the players had plenty to say about each other after the series. It is safe to say that these teams don't like each other. We should get a strong effort from both teams tonight and what amounts to a rivalry game.
In his three games since his return, Cam Johnson has gone over this number twice, even averaging fewer minutes. Johnson's return has been vital to this team's recent success as he's an excellent two-way player. Not only can he score in an efficient manner, but he is also an excellent defender.
When this budding rivalry renews tonight, Johnson will have another big night. In a nationally televised game, we can count on Cam Johnson to go over his point prop.
