After Monday and Wednesday’s monster 15 and 13 games slates, tonight’s eight-game slate seems pretty light. Still, this gives us plenty of games to find the best player prop betting opportunities.

We’ve been on fire here with the previews at Bookmakers Review and we couldn’t be more excited to keep giving out winning NBA picks.

Detroit Pistons vs. New York Knicks

Friday, November 11, 2022 – 07:30 PM EST at Madison Square Garden

Jalen Brunson (New York Knicks)

  • Over 19.5 Points

Jalen Brunson was the New York Knicks' big off-season splash. He has come in and contributed right away, and the Knicks have been playing winning basketball. Jalen Brunson is an excellent perimeter scorer with a nice shot and the ability to get to the rim.

Jalen Brunson averages 19.2 points per game and his points prop is set at 19.5. So why are we attacking this prop? Simply put, the Detroit defense is the worst defensive unit in the league.

The Detroit Pistons have plenty of offensive firepower, with plenty of long-term potential, but oftentimes with young players, they know how to score but not to get stops. Detroit has been giving up points on the perimeter and in the middle, which has been causing them to get blown out in multiple games.

Attacking NBA player props against players facing Detroit has been a prudent decision so far, so we will continue to ride on that train. This is a great opportunity for Jalen Brunson to have a big night, and this point prop probably gets there, even in a blowout.

Jalen Brunson is a great scorer and Detroit is a terrible defense, and this adds up to our first pick. Our first bet will be Jalen Brunson over 19.5 points.

Toronto Raptors vs. Oklahoma City Thunder

Friday, November 11, 2022 - 08:00 PM EST at Paycom Center

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Oklahoma City Thunder)

  • Over 27.5 Points

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been absolutely on fire start this season for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Gilgeous-Alexander is in a tough position, being an elite player on a team that's not too interested in winning right now. The Thunder have been tanking for 2 years but that hasn't stopped Gilgeous-Alexander from putting up excellent performances.

This number is shaded low because of the Toronto Raptors' excellent defense. The Toronto Raptors are long at the forward position and have two strong defensive guards in Fred VanVleet and Gary Trent Jr. Still, Toronto's defensive excellence has given us almost four points of value as this number is set at 27.5 and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander averages 31.6 points per game.

The strength of the Raptors' defense is their length at the forward position, which means they can shut down multiple wings even playing a switching defense. Most teams do run their offense through strong forwards. However, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is an ultra-quick point guard and regardless of the size and length of the Raptors, he will be able to get to the rim at will.

Fred VanVleet is an excellent defender but in the NBA, good offense beats good defense, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has developed into an elite scorer. Even though the Thunder will probably lose tonight, it will be another showcase effort from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who has expressed interest in being traded to Toronto. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase his skills to a potential team that might be interested in acquiring him.

Regardless of the Raptors' excellent defense, I expect a big night from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Following the NBA odds, our second prop for the night is Shai Gilgeous-Alexander over 27.5 points.

Denver Nuggets vs. Boston Celtics

Friday, November 11, 2022 - 07:00 PM EST at TD Garden

Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets)

  • Under 11.5 Rebounds

Nikola Jokic has been strong and productive coming off back-to-back MVP seasons. I expect him to put up a high number of points and assists tonight, but his rebound total will be lower than usual.

The Boston Celtics like to bring opposing bigs outside of the paint, so their forwards can crash the boards as well as take advantage of Al Horford's long-range shooting. This creates a situation where oftentimes opposing centers do not put up huge rebounding numbers against the Celtics since they're spending more time than usual on the perimeter.

Nikola Jokic is a great player, but the Celtics' game plan will lower his statistical output in the rebounding category tonight. This should be a great game but one in which Jokic will be using his variety of skills and not just be banging down low. Our final prop at one of the best sportsbooks is Nikola Jokic under 11.5 rebounds.
