Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Indiana Pacers
Wednesday, November 23, 2022 – 07:00 PM EST at Gainbridge Fieldhouse
The Indiana Pacers have shocked the NBA this season. They’re currently 10-6 on the year and will be near favorites at home against the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight.
The Pacers have won 7 of their last 8 games. The offense has scored at least 115.6 points per 100 possessions in 4 of their previous 5 games. They’ve also shot an effective field goal percentage of at least 54.5% in 4 of those 5 games as well.
The Pacers dominated the offensive glass in their last 2 games against the Magic. They’ve also earned foul shots at a high rate over the win streak.
On top of that, the defense has stood out as well. Teams haven’t shot higher than a 52.7% effective field goal percentage over the last 5 games. The Pacers have also earned at least 16.7% of turnovers in 3 of their previous 5.
Tyrese Haliburton has led the team in points and assists and is averaging a double-double with over 20 points and over 10 assists per game.
Meanwhile, the Timberwolves are starting to figure things out. They’ve won 4 straight games and are now 9-8.
The offense has still been inconsistent. They had big performances against Cleveland and Orlando, but struggled against Miami and Philadelphia, despite earning wins.
The Timberwolves have turned the ball over 17.6% of the time or more over the last 2 games. They’re also terrible on the offensive glass.
However, Minnesota has done well defensively, holding their last 3 teams to 105.2 points per 100 possessions or fewer.
The Moneyline Pick
The Pacers can still earn offensive rebounds against Minnesota, and Minnesota is still fouling at a high rate despite the win streak.
Therefore, I’ll rock with Indiana at home.
Washington Wizards vs. Miami Heat
Wednesday, November 23, 2022 - 07:30 PM EST at FTX Arena
The Wizards already have an overtime win against the Heat this year. That game finished 107-106 in overtime.
The offense has struggled this season, putting up 106 points per 100 possessions in 3 of their last 4 games. Washington only shot an effective field goal percentage of 52.9% or lower in those 4 games.
Washington has also turned the ball over at least 15% of the time in those 4 games but has earned over 30% of offensive rebounds in 2 of their last 3.
Bradley Beal is considered questionable for tonight’s game. He’s earned 22.7 points per game this season on 51.2% from the field.
Meanwhile, on defense, the Wizards have held 3 of their last 4 opponents to 102 points per 100 possessions or worse. The defense has also held teams to under 45% effective field goal percentages.
They’ve been inconsistent on the defensive glass and won’t earn as many turnovers. But the defense is still outstanding this season.
On the other hand, Miami has looked dreadful offensively.
Over the last 3 games, they’ve shot an effective field goal percentage of 45% or worse. They’ve also earned fewer than 100 points per 100 possessions in their last 3 games. The only way the Heat will score is by getting to the foul line.
And although Miami’s defense has been inconsistent, they’ve had some good moments later. They’re forcing turnovers at a very high rate and limiting offensive rebounds in most of their previous games.
The Over/Under Pick
Let’s back the Under 210.5 in this one.

Denver Nuggets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
Wednesday, November 23, 2022 - 08:00 PM EST at Paycom Center
The Nuggets have defeated the Thunder twice this season. They won the first meeting by 5 and the second one by 12. There’s no reason to think that this game will be different.
Oklahoma City Thunder
The Thunder have been dreadful defensively.
Teams are scoring over 110 points per 100 possession in every recent game. They’ve also struggled on the defensive glass and rarely earn takeaways.
On the other hand, the Nuggets have also struggled offensively. But they should be able to earn a high rate of offensive rebounds.
They’re coming off a game where they added nearly 40% of offensive rebounds against the Pistons.
The defense has also been slightly inconsistent, but they’ve been relatively good on the defensive glass and continue limiting foul shots.
The Spread Pick
Following the NBA odds, back the Nuggets at -3.
