Charlotte Hornets vs. New York Knicks
Tuesday, March 7, 2023 – 7:30 PM EST at Madison Square Garden
Teams Analysis
Charlotte Hornets
After LaMelo Ball went down, the Hornets have struggled. They’ve won just 20 games this season but are now on a three-game losing streak without Ball.
Ball’s done for the year, and the Hornets are not contending for anything. They’ve lost at least 10 points in those three games and will probably want to tank for a top spot in the NBA Draft this year.
New York Knicks
Meanwhile, the Knicks have won nine straight games and look like an actual NBA title contender. The offense has added 118.1 points per 100 possessions while limiting turnovers to 13.1%.
Jalen Brunson is questionable, but if he’s unable to go, Immanuel Quickley will get extra minutes to shine for the Knicks. After all, Quickley is probably the Knicks’ third-best scoring option on the team.
The Knicks should have a ton of success on the offensive glass. They’ve already earned 31% of offensive rebounds this season, and the Hornets are giving up 27.1% of offensive rebounds.
New York will also taste the foul line at a high rate in tonight’s game against the Hornets.
The Pick
Because the Knicks play the Hornets, we might not see Jalen Brunson. But either way, the Knicks are playing terrific basketball and will have the next-man-up mentality.
Back the Knicks to cover the ten at the current NBA odds at home in front of a loud, sold-out crowd.

Golden State Warriors vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
Tuesday, March 7, 2023 – 08:00 PM EST at Paycom Center
Teams Analysis
Golden State Warriors
Although Steph Curry is back, he’ll still be on a minutes restriction. Meanwhile, Andrew Wiggins is still dealing with a personal matter and won’t play tonight’s game.
The Warriors dominated the Thunder in two straight games earlier this year. The most recent game was February 6, where the Warriors won 141-114.
Golden State will get good looks from the floor. Turnovers might get high, but they’ll have more success on the offensive glass, with the Thunder giving up 29.9% of offensive rebounds this season.
The Warriors struggle to get to the foul line, but having Curry back will help.
Oklahoma City Thunder
The Thunder are on a two-game streak with two straight wins over Utah. But ultimately, the Thunder are an average group that should struggle against the Warriors.
Oklahoma City is shooting a 53.8% effective field goal percentage and doesn’t get to the foul line at a very high rate. The Thunder have succeeded on the offensive glass, but the Warriors should be able to cancel that out with their defensive rebounding.
The Pick
I’ll grab the Warriors on the road at -4.5 against the Thunder. I think the Warriors could win by double-digits.
NBA Pick: Warriors -4.5 (-110) at BetOnline

Utah Jazz vs. Dallas Mavericks
Tuesday, March 7, 2023 – 08:30 PM EST at American Airlines Center
Teams Analysis
Utah Jazz
Utah has lost three straight games, including two to Oklahoma City. The Jazz have played the Thunder and Spurs in their last five games.
Now they’ll play the Mavericks tonight. They’re not used to playoff-tier teams.
The Jazz are still scoring at a high rate this season. Utah has added 117 points per 100 possessions while shooting an effective field goal percentage of 55.3%.
The Jazz should also get to the foul line at a high rate, with the Mavericks holding a defensive free throw rate of 23.6, the worst in the NBA.
Dallas Mavericks
The Mavericks are just as good offensively, if not better, than the Jazz. Dallas has scored 117.7 points per 100 possessions while shooting a 57.1% effective field goal percentage. The addition of Kyrie Irving will only help the offense moving forward, especially with Luka Doncic back on the court.
Dallas also gets to the foul line at a high rate and limits turnovers very well. Offensive rebounding isn’t the Mavericks’ specialty, but they’ll still do damage elsewhere.
The Pick
I’ll grab the Over 236 in this matchup. These two teams have played three times already this season.
In every game, the total has increased. There were 235 points in the most recent game and I think we’ll even jump that heading into the final regular season game between these two teams.
NBA Pick: Over 236 (-110) at BetOnline
