The Cavs look to bounce back in Sacramento after having their eight-game winning streak snapped. Meanwhile, the Knicks look like a live dog against crosstown rivals Brooklyn.

The Under has value in the Rockets game against the Raptors without Pascal Siakam.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Sacramento Kings

Wednesday, November 9, 2022 – 10:00 PM EST at Golden 1 Center

Cavs Look to Get Back on Track

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been one of the best teams in the NBA this season. Although they lost their last game, they had won their previous 8 in a row. Even in their loss to the Blazers, they had a 13-point lead with 5 mins to play. This team has been boosted by the arrival of All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell.

He's playing some of the best basketball of his career to start this season averaging 31 points on 50% shooting. Cleveland comes into this game as a -4.5 road favorite against Sacramento.

The Spread Pick

The Kings are a much-improved team, but I don't think they can keep up with the Cavs' Frontline. The Kings have no answers for Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen.

Cleveland is the second-best defense in the league allowing only 105.2 points per 100 possessions.

Following the NBA odds, I'm taking the Cavs -4.5 (-110).

New York Knicks vs. Brooklyn Nets

Wednesday, November 9, 2022 - 07:30 PM EST at Barclays Center

Knicks Look to Win Battle of New York

Anyone that has watched the Brooklyn Nets this season will know they shouldn't be laying points against most teams in the league right now. Tonight they are -3.5 point favorites against their crosstown rivals, the New York Knicks.

The Knicks have been the better of the two teams despite their own inconsistencies. They've won 2 of their last 3 and have played much better defense during this stretch.

The Nets' offense has not been good this year and they will be without Kyrie Irving again, who is serving the 4th of a 5-game suspension. Nobody else in Brooklyn averages over 13 points per game.

That leaves Kevin Durant with very little help offensively. The Nets did get Ben Simmons back from a knee injury in their loss to Dallas. That said, he only played 16 minutes and is still a long way from the player he once was. Simmons has yet to score double digits this season.

The Moneyline Pick

I'm taking the Knicks (+140) on the moneyline for our NBA picks at BetOnline.

This is a 50-50 game at best and you're getting the Knicks at a much better price than even money. Brooklyn is not a good basketball team right now and winning this game actually means something to the Knicks.

I expect a close game that the Knicks pull out because of their depth.

Houston Rockets vs. Toronto Raptors

Wednesday, November 9, 2022 - 07:30 PM EST at Scotiabank Arena

Rockets Take On Short-Handed Raptors

The Toronto Raptors host the Houston Rockets as -10 point favorites without Pascal Siakam.

The Rockets are one of the worst teams in the league and are losing by an average of 7.5 points per game this season. That said, that seems like a lot of points to lay with a Raptors team that does struggle to score at times.

The Raptors are 16th in the league in points per game, partly because they are 23rd in pace.

The Over/Under Pick

The total for this game is 224.5 at Heritage Sports which seems a little bit high.

The Raptors will not want to get in an up-and-down game with this young Houston team that is 8th in the league in pace. The Rockets are 25th in offensive efficiency which is why despite that pace, they only average 110.4 points per game.

I'm taking the Under in this one.
