We’ve added three of our favorite NBA picks for tonight’s slate. Which ones are you tailing to begin your week?
Indiana Pacers vs. Detroit Pistons
Monday, March 13, 2023 – 07:00 PM EDT at Little Caesars Arena
Teams Analysis
Indiana Pacers
The Indiana Pacers are still competing. The Pacers are 31-37 on the year and still have a chance to potentially play in the play-in game to reach the NBA Playoffs. The Pacers are still a below-average offense, but they’ll take on a horrible Pistons defense.
The Pistons have allowed 118.8 points per 100 possessions while giving up a 56.2% effective field goal percentage. Teams are also averaging 28.1% of offensive rebounds against Detroit and earning a high free throw rate of 22.9.
The Pacers defeated the Pistons, scoring 121 in a 121-115 win. The game was close, but the Pacers pulled away on the road. The same thing likely happens tonight.
Detroit Pistons
When the Pistons have the ball, there will be more excitement. Different matchups are much more intriguing on this side of things.
The Pistons still stink on offense. They’ve scored 110.7 points per 100 possessions and have shot a 52.5% effective field goal percentage. That’s not good. They’ve also allowed 15.1% of turnovers, and the Pacers have earned 15.1% this season. So we can expect more sloppy ball out of the Pistons on the offensive end.
However, Detroit is active on the offensive glass, earning 28% of offensive rebounds. On the other hand, the Pacers have given up 30.6% of offensive rebounds and also foul at a very high rate. The Pistons also work their way to the line at an above-average rate.
The Pick
I wouldn’t be surprised to see both teams in the 120s in this game. Following the NBA odds, I’ll ride the Over with two defenses struggling to get stops all season.
NBA Pick: Over 227.5 (-110) at BetOnline

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Dallas Mavericks
Monday, March 13, 2023 – 07:30 PM EDT at American Airlines Center
Teams Analysis
Memphis Grizzlies
The Memphis Grizzlies are trending in the right direction. Memphis has won its last two games, including a 112-108 win over Dallas, but that was without Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. Irving is now questionable for tonight’s game, while Doncic is already ruled out. Kyrie will change some things in this game.
However, Memphis still averages 115.5 points per 100 possessions. The Grizzlies are great are limiting turnovers and earning close to 30% of offensive rebounds. Memphis could also get more time at the foul line, with Dallas fouling at a very high rate this season.
Dallas has held teams to 26.1% of offensive rebounds but is below average in every other major defensive category.
Dallas Mavericks
This team will be hurt without Luka Doncic. The Mavericks haven’t been very good with Kyrie Irving, despite Irving putting up solid stats.
The offense has earned 117.4 points per game. The Mavs get to the foul line at a high rate and limit turnovers. Dallas isn’t going to make a bunch of second chances but usually shoots at a high rate from the floor as they get quality looks regularly.
Memphis has just held teams to a 52.2% effective field goal percentage and will make things a bit tougher on Dallas.
The Pick
I’m not trusting Dallas without Luka Doncic. Give me Memphis +1 on the road.

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Sacramento Kings
Monday, March 13, 2023 – 10:00 PM EDT at Golden 1 Center
Teams Analysis
Milwaukee Bucks
Right now, Giannis Antetokounmpo is questionable for tonight’s game against the Kings. He could end up not playing but don’t overreact too much. Without Giannis, the Bucks almost defeated the Warriors on the road. They lost in overtime two days ago.
The Bucks don’t have the most effective offense and won’t get to the foul line at a high rate. But they’ll be active on the glass and still shoot a high percentage from the field.
The Kings allow teams to score 117.1 points per game and have allowed a 56.8% effective field goal percentage. The defense is so bad that the Sacramento offense needs to score at least 120 points per game to win.
Sacramento Kings
The Kings score the most points per 100 possessions and have an effective field goal percentage of 58%. Sacramento will struggle to earn second chances but usually, get good looks.
Milwaukee’s defense is one of the best in the NBA. However, without Giannis, that could change a little bit. We’ll likely see more scoring from the Kings against the Bucks in this game. The Kings will limit turnovers well and take plenty of shots.
The Pick
But if Giannis plays, I’d take the Under 244.5. Both teams will get limited second chances, and the Bucks are one of the best defenses in the NBA. 244.5 is a lot of points for a Bucks game.
