With many games throughout the day, I’ve added three different MLB picks, including my favorite moneyline, total, and run line bets for the night.

Let us know if you’re tailing any of these three bets!

Let’s see what the MLB odds tell us at the top sportsbooks!

San Francisco Giants vs. San Diego Padres

Wednesday, August 10, 2022 – 04:10 PM EDT at Petco Park

Pick Analysis

The San Francisco Giants blew a tie game in the ninth inning yesterday. Manny Machado hit a three-run bomb and now the Padres are finally showing what they’re capable of.

However, with Sean Manaea on the mound tonight, the Giants might have more value, despite the loss yesterday.

The Giants are hitting a .326 ISO and wOBA of .394 against lefties in the last 30 days with their projected lineup. Manaea, on the other hand, has a 4.43 xFIP and has been giving up a ton of power recently, to both sides of the plate.

Lefties have a .397 wOBA and ISO of .308 in the last month while righties have a .386 wOBA and ISO of .268 in the last 30 days. That’s not good news for the Padres.

The Moneyline Pick

Jakob Junis will get the call for the Giants. He’s really not that better, but has shut down righties and has limited power from both sides of the plate.

The Padres have a .198 ISO and wOBA of .349 against righties in the last 30 days with their projected lineup. That’s good but still doesn’t match what the Giants are capable of.

Let’s take a flier on the Giants moneyline here.

Miami Marlins vs. Philadelphia Phillies

Wednesday, August 10, 2022 - 07:05 PM EDT at Citizens Bank Park

Pick Analysis

Noah Syndergaard was traded to the Phillies from the Angels at the trade deadline. In his first start with the Phillies, he struggled, allowing many hits and base runners throughout his outing.

Tonight, I think he’ll be a bit more comfortable, especially going up against the Marlins.

The Marlins are hitting a .098 ISO with a wOBA of .267 against righties in the last 30 days. Only Charles LeBlanc has hit with any consistency against righties in that time frame.

On the other hand, Sandy Alcantara will take the hill for the Marlins. He’s currently the heavy favorite to win the NL Cy Young award. In the last 30 days, he has had a 3.84 xFIP with 27.5% of strikeouts.

Alcantara can go deep in games and work his way out of trouble with a high ground ball rate and low line drive rate to go along with his strikeout rate.

Over/Under Pick

The Phillies have a much better lineup in comparison to the Marlins, but with Alcantara on the mound, the Phillies won’t be able to score enough to reach the over.

Let’s rock with the under for tonight’s game.

Texas Rangers vs. Houston Astros

Wednesday, August 10, 2022 - 08:10 PM EDT at Minute Maid Park

Pick Analysis

I just spoke about the leading candidate in the National League for the Cy Young. Justin Verlander, who is the favorite in the American League, will take the mound for the Astros tonight.

Verlander has a 3.96 xFIP in the last 30 days with 29.3% of strikeouts and just 4% of walks. He’s limiting power against both sides of the plate and will take on a Rangers lineup that just gets worse as you head down through the order.

Marcus Semien, Corey Seager, and Nate Lowe have solid numbers against righties. But from the fourth spot down to the ninth spot, the Rangers’ lineup is dreadful against righties.

On the other hand, the Astros haven’t been all that great against righties in the last 30 days either. But they’re facing Glenn Otto, who has a 4.76 xFIP in the last 30 days.

He’s struggled against righties, giving up a .392 wOBA and ISO of .200 in his last 59 plate appearances against them.

The Run Line Pick

Houston still has a .294 wOBA against righties and the top of the order should be able to put the ball in play to make good things happen.

Let’s back the Astros on the run line with Verlander on the bump.
