Baseball props have been very, very good to us here at the ranch. Let’s jump right into Saturday’s MLB picks; we lead off with a little-known member of the Chicago White Sox, but someone with a lot of promise on a team that desperately needs him right now.
Will Oscar Colas Get an RBI?
Probably not, to be honest, but there’s a +240 payday attached to this prop on the early overseas MLB lines. And FantasyData projects Colas for 0.44 RBIs, making this bet worth investing a single unit of your bankroll in.
Colas (four RBIs through 12 games) may technically be a rookie out there in right field, but he’s already a veteran of the international game at age 24, having grown up in the Cuban system before signing a developmental deal in Japan – where he defected, eventually signing with the White Sox in 2022.
This guy can do it all on the field. He can even pitch, although the Sox decided against grooming Colas as a two-way player; his raw power is what got him a job in the majors, and it was on display last year as he worked his way through the minors:
- A-ball: .475 SLG
- AA-ball: .563 SLG
- AAA-ball: .645 SLG
Very nice. Colas is only slugging .375 at press time now that he’s facing big-league pitchers, but the left-handed batter will face northpaw Kyle Gibson (4.60 xFIP in 18.1 innings) this Saturday. Then he’ll presumably end up dealing with the No. 10-ranked bullpen on the WAR charts at FanGraphs.
Colas is batting eighth for Chicago, which isn’t ideal for our purposes; there’s also a chance of rain over Armour Square, with wind gusts up to 15 mph coming in down the first-base line. Don’t go ham with this bet – one unit only, please.

Cleveland Guardians vs. Washington Nationals

Our second baseball pick is also for a single unit, and it’s on Cleveland Guardians OF Will Brennan getting a hit, for a -235 payout on the overseas MLB odds board.
Shouldn’t be a problem; FantasyData has Brennan pegged for 0.95 hits this Saturday versus the Washington Nationals.
Who Is Will Brennan?
Also technically a rookie at age 25, Brennan was All-Big 12 at Kansas State, then played collegiate summer ball in Alaska and Cape Cod before Cleveland drafted him in the eighth round back in 2019.
Brennan made his MLB debut last year in late September and looked very good in limited action, going 15-for-45 (.357 BA) at the plate with a .900 OPS. Now he’s in Cleveland’s regular starting lineup, albeit once again near the bottom of the batting order.
This Saturday, Brennan will face Chad Kuhl (6.77 xFIP in 10 innings), the No. 5 starter in Washington’s rotation. Kuhl is on his third team in three years, and exactly the kind of pitcher we’re looking for – including being right-handed, with Brennan batting from the sinister side of the plate.
The Nationals bullpen ranks No. 20 on the FanGraphs WAR charts at press time, which also adds value to this wager. Sadly, the weather is neither here nor there; the afternoon forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies with temperatures in the mid-70s, with a chance of thunderstorms interrupting this game before clearing off.
But we’re pounding this prop anyway. It’s just the right thing to do.
