We’re back at it again on Friday with more MLB action to play. There are some really great matchups on the diamond tonight and we will take full advantage. We have put in the effort, done the homework and are now ready to find the winners. Let’s hit it, brother!

Washington Nationals vs. New York Yankees

Friday, May 7th, 2021 – 07:05 PM EDT at Yankee Stadium

This is the series opener for the Nationals and Yankees and is an interesting one.

The Nationals are struggling this year and it is happening pretty much everywhere on the field. The starting rotation has struggled, including tonight’s starter, Patrick Corbin. Corbin is only two years removed from being a pivotal player in a World Series run, but man has the fall off been precipitous. Additionally the offense has not been very good for Washington either. Struggles abound for the 2019 World Series champs.

The Yankees are a little bit up and down at the moment, but their offense has been clicking of late, particularly Giancarlo Stanton. He’s been hot as a pistol. Tonight the Yanks send Jameson Taillon to the mound who has been struggling himself so far this season, but I think this Nationals lineup might be the best thing for him to get right.

MLB Pick: Yankees ML (-174) at Bovada

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Miami Marlins

Friday, May 7th, 2021 - 07:10 PM EDT at Marlins Park

The Brewers come into this game having lost five consecutive games to the Dodgers and Phillies. Their pitching has been giving up far too many runs. Tonight they are sending Brent Suter to the mound who has been good but not enough to bail them out of this skid. Additionally the Brewers are really missing Christian Yelich in their lineup.

The Marlins are sending Trevor Rogers to the mound tonight in Miami and the rookie has been simply outstanding. He is 3-2 with a 1.91 ERA coming into tonight’s game and has an offense behind him that is clicking on all cylinders. As cold as the Brewers are, the Marlins have come into this game winners of three in a row and having scored twenty runs over three games against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

I think the Marlins are going to have the better pitcher and the better lineup on the field on Friday night. The Brewers probably have the better bullpen, but I don’t know that it will matter by the time they get into the game.

MLB Pick: Marlins ML (-144) at Bovada
