We’re back at it again on Thursday with more MLB action to play. There are some really great matchups on the diamond tonight and we will take full advantage. We have put in the effort, done the homework and are now ready to find the winners. Let’s hit it, brother!
Toronto Blue Jays vs. Oakland Athletics
Thursday, May 6, 2021 – 03:37 PM EDT at O.co Coliseum
The Jays and A’s are going at it for the fourth game in a row. Coming into this one the Athletics have taken two of three, however they lost the last game on Wednesday 9-4.
The pitching matchup in this game benefits Toronto. Hyun Jin Ryu takes the mound for the Jays and he has been very good, going 1-2 with a 2.60 ERA. He will go against Mike Fiers who is 0-1 with a 4.50 ERA so far for the A’s this season. Obviously this matchup favors Toronto, but I think there is more than meets the eye here. Oakland has been very impressive to start this young season. They are still sitting on the best record in baseball at 19-13 and they have been their usual reliable selves.
I like the offense of the Athletics and their bullpen play of late as well. I think this is a team that is a prime bounce back candidate today after getting dropped by Toronto on Wednesday. I like the fact that I am getting Oakland as a home dog off a loss to the same team. Let’s do it.

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Miami Marlins
Thursday, May 6, 2021 - 06:40 PM EDT at Marlins Park
This game presents us with a pretty unique opportunity and it is one that we must capitalize on.
The Diamondbacks will send Madison Bumgarner to the mound tonight in Miami to take on Pablo Lopez and the fish. Bumgarner’s reputation precedes him, however at this point in his career, it might be time to wonder what is left in the tank. So far this season he is 3-2 with an ERA of 5.58. That’s not exactly stellar, but obviously he is still capable of giving a quality outing, so it’s tough to count him out.
Pablo Lopez on the other side is a bad luck 0-2 loser on the season, but he’s got an ERA of 2.34. I still think Lopez can be vulnerable at times to the walk. When I looked at this line I thought this game could go either way, but I saw the total and jumped at it.
The books have hung a total of 7 in this game. Seven! I hit this over as soon as I saw that number, I’m all over it and you should be as well. Let’s go offense!
MLB Pick: Over 7 (-120) at Bovada
