With a full slate of games on the horizon, we’ve put together the best moneyline, run line, and total for the Blue Jays vs. Orioles, Marlins vs. Phillies, and Rangers vs. Astros.
Toronto Blue Jays vs. Baltimore Orioles
Tuesday, September 6, 2022 – 07:05 PM EDT at Oriole Park
The Toronto Blue Jays won both games of a doubleheader last night over the Baltimore Orioles. That stings if you’re Baltimore, but if they can earn a win tonight, they’ll be able to salvage this series.
Toronto Blue Jays
Mitch White will take the hill for Toronto. He’s 1-5 with a 4.67 ERA on the season. In the last 30 days, White has had a 4.26 xFIP with just 20.5% of strikeouts.
He’s also giving up 22.4% of line drives and has allowed a high ISO to both sides of the plate.
Meanwhile, the Orioles are hitting a .181 ISO with a wOBA of .319 against righties in the last 30 days. Seven of the nine hitters in Baltimore's lineup have an above-average ISO against righties in the previous month. That’s something to consider.
Kyle Bradish will take the hill for Baltimore. He’s walked 8.9% of batters, but at least he's earning 47.1% of ground balls while limiting line drives to just 17.6%.
It’s been much harder to earn extra-base hits in the last 30 days against Bradish. The Blue Jays also only hit a .160 ISO with a wOBA of .301 against righties over the previous 30 days.
The Moneyline Pick
Baltimore has the better pitcher and the better lineup coming into this game.
After a two-game sweep by the Blue Jays yesterday, look for the Orioles to come alive in tonight’s game against Toronto.
Miami Marlins vs. Philadelphia Phillies
Tuesday, September 6, 2022 - 06:45 PM EDT at Citizens Bank Park
Jesus Luzardo will get the call for the Marlins. He’s a lefty with a 3-6 record and a 3.44 ERA.
In the last 30 days, Luzardo has had a 3.73 xFIP. He’s also struck out nearly 22% of batters while earning 53.4% of ground balls. Luzardo has also done a solid job limiting walks and line drives in the last 30 days.
The Phillies have more potential offensively in this game. However, they’ve also struck out nearly 25% of the time against lefties in the last 30 days.
The Phillies are hitting a .371 wOBA against lefties with their projected lineup, but Luzardo has only struggled against lefties lately. The Phillies will have more righties in their lineup tonight.
Aaron Nola will man the mound for the Phillies. He’s 9-11 with a 3.43 ERA on the season.
Over the last 30 days, he’s been even better than that, holding a 2.64 xFIP. He’s also struck out 28.4% of batters and has walked just 3% of batters.
The Marlins have an ISO of .119 with a wOBA of .265 against righties in that same time frame to go along with 24.1% of strikeouts.
The Over/Under Pick
Luzardo can rack the strikeouts up. Nola should be able to keep this Miami lineup off the board entirely.
Let’s take the Under here for our MLB picks.

Texas Rangers vs. Houston Astros
Tuesday, September 6, 2022 - 08:10 PM EDT at Minute Maid Park
The Astros will send out left-handed ace Framber Valdez. He’s got a 3.23 xFIP in the last 30 days and has induced over 65% of ground balls during that same time frame.
The Rangers hit 48.9% of ground balls against lefties in that same time. That’s going to play out well for the Astros.
Glenn Otto will take the hill for the Rangers. He’s got a 5.71 xFIP and has walked 13.8% of batters in the last 30 days.
Jose Altuve, Alex Bregman, and Kyle Tucker have all been red hot against righties in the last 30 days. Otto has been worse against lefties but, overall, continues to allow a lot of base runners on due to his high walk rate and low strikeout rate.
The Run Line Pick
The Astros haven’t been red hot against righties but should score more than enough with Valdez on the mound to win by multiple runs.
MLB Pick: Astros RL -1.5 (-130) at BetOnline
