Best MLB Player Props to Consider for June 15

The Atlanta Braves are on a 13-game winning streak, the longest in the majors this season. They visit the Washington Nationals tonight and we like a couple of MLB props picks from that one among a few others with odds from BetOnline (visit our BetOnline Review), one of BMR’s top-rated sportsbooks.

Atlanta Braves vs. Washington Nationals

Wednesday, June 15, 2022 – 07:05 PM EDT at Nationals Park

Braves vs. Nationals: Matchup Highlights

  • Series finale between NL East rivals.
  • Atlanta’s 13-game winning streak is the longest in the majors this year
  • Is the club’s longest winning streak since the 2013 team reeled off 14 in a row
  • The winning streak is tied for the third-longest in the franchise’s modern era (since 1900).
  • The 2000 Braves won 15 straight to set the franchise’s modern era record.
  • Yet the team is still five games behind the first-place Mets in the division.

Braves Prop Bet: Orlando Arcia

  • Over/Under 0.5 Hits

Atlanta has lost All-Star second baseman Ozzie Albies for at least two months to a broken foot. He was hitting .244 with 8 homers and a .694 OPS in 62 games this season. The 25-year-old batted .259 with a career-high 30 homers and a .799 OPS last year.

Orlando Arcia figures to start most nights with Albies out and we like an Arcia hit prop today. Frankly, he has been the better player so far with a .327 average and was 2-for-4 with a homer and 2 runs scored in Tuesday’s win.

Arcia is hitting a robust .348 on the road and .417 vs. Washington pitching this season. Against Nats starter Erick Fedde, he’s 2-for-3 career.

MLB Prop Pick: Orlando Arcia Over 0.5 Hits (-180) at BetOnline

Nationals Prop Bet: Juan Soto

  • Over/Under 0.5 RBIs

Meanwhile, Washington star outfielder Juan Soto is expected back in the lineup. He banged his knee in Monday’s game and was given Tuesday off – his first game missed this season.

Bovada (visit our Bovada Review) actually offered a prop on which team Soto will be playing for after the Aug. 2 Trade Deadline, as it’s expected Washington will deal him eventually, with Soto turning down a $350 million extension. That he was still with the Nats after the deadline was -2000, while the San Francisco Giants were +1000 second favorites.

I would be moderately surprised if Soto is traded during the season. While he has 13 homers, Soto is only hitting .228 so leaning under his RBI total tonight.

MLB Prop Pick: Juan Soto Under 0.5 RBIs (-265) at BetOnline

Tampa Bay Rays vs. New York Yankees

Wednesday, June 15, 2022 - 07:05 PM EDT at Yankee Stadium

Rays vs. Yankees: Matchup Highlights

  • The pitching matchup of the night is from this AL East showdown as Cy Young contenders.
  • Lefties Shane McClanahan and Nestor Cortes face off.
  • McClanahan is the +350 favorite to win the Cy and Cortes is +1100.

Rays Prop Bet: Shane McClanahan

  • Over/Under 2.5 Earned Runs

McClanahan was excellent the last time he faced the Yankees on May 29, giving up one run over 6.

He leads the majors with 98 strikeouts. The Rays just find these guys, it’s crazy.

MLB Prop Pick: Shane McClanahan Under 2.5 Runs (-155) at BetOnline

Yankees Prop Bet: Nestor Cortes

  • Over/Under 2.5 Earned Runs

Cortes actually comes off a rare poor start, allowing 4 runs and 7 hits over 4.1 innings at Minnesota. That ended a streak of 18 straight starts allowing 3 earned or less, two shy of the Yankees franchise record.

Cortes did dominate the Rays on May 26 in St. Petersburg, allowing one run over 8 innings.

MLB Prop Pick: Nestor Cortes Under 2.5 Earned Runs (-155) at BetOnline

Yankees Prop Bet: Gleyber Torres

  • Over/Under 0.5 Hits

While I do like both pitchers to fare well for our betting picks, I am going to lean over a hit prop for New York’s Gleyber Torres simply as he’s 6-for-10 with a homer and 2 doubles career vs. McClanahan.

Torres is slashing .333/.391/.690 (14-for-42) in his last 11 games overall.

MLB Prop Pick: Gleyber Torres Over 0.5 Hits (-190) at BetOnline
